I’m 100% on board that he is our guy. But I won’t gaslight myself into believing he doesn’t have these flaws.

Everyone has flaws. If one or the other of these guys didn't have flaws, there wouldn't be a debate. It boils down to how the coaching staff feels they can best address the issues and ultimately,  it's their decision.  Going on and on about it doesn't solve a thing. The coaching staff isn't looking at these threads thinking "You know "Joe blow" over here makes a good point. Let's do that." At the end of the day it's a crap shoot. Always has been.

We were told Bryce had the best line in college. Yet he still has to run around to make plays.

Bama WRs are still some of the best in college. Give me a break on no talent.

Plenty of QBs get the ball out. Why can't Bryce. Maybe scheme him a better O next time?

His OL last year was not great at all.  Neither were his WRs.  Jesus, homework man

I knew Kyle Trask was a second rounder, everyone knows that's a hard road in itself. Kyle Trask is 3yrs deep now competing for the job.

Matt Corral is one Bryce Young away from starting foreverrrrr.

They just signed Baker to start over Trask just like he did over Corral. Baker starting over your guys is a bad look. Also Corral can’t stay healthy. You are concerned about Young’s durability while Corral was injured in college and couldn’t make it through the preseason last year.

Wrong.

For those who want to keep saying this, watch these two videos:

Clip after clip of throwing dudes open under pressure while having to move AND throwing dimes. Throws Bryce Young has never made.

And you can watch below to see where Young struggles.

Both guys have their pluses and minuses but somehow Stroud has developed this weird reputation he doesn’t move around, make dudes miss, and that his guys are just wide open. This past season Alabama WRs were more wide open than OSU WRs. Stroud constantly threw the ball into tight windows. Which translates to the NFL. Young does not.

Young threw into tight windows plenty. Come on, dude.

Name. Which. Bama. WR. You. Want. Us. To. Draft.

I think Ohio State had a better offensive line up. Alabama had a much better defense, nobody is questioning that. Everyone is questioning that Young was surrounded by scrubs and no names.

Which teams that Alabama played this year had a better roster than Alabama outside of Georgia? Would love for you to answer that question.

Baker will be limping off to the sidelines soon enough. Or sucking, just like he did here after YOU and the Baker Boys filled up the huddle with the same foolish hopium you pump into BY.

Both not elite. Good eye.

I'll be honest. I keep watching play after play of both Stroud and Young from one game after another. Really in hopes that I'll fall in love with Young's style.

He's very elusive. I like that. Despite his size, I'm not too worried about his durability. He can turn an ugly play into a brilliant one. Great poise.

But when I watch Stroud I see a QB that just makes it "look easy". He's also clearly poised. Smooth, quick release.  Beautiful ball placement.  Regardless of what some test suggests, he clearly processes defenses quickly and effectively with his progressions.

Some think Stroud isn't fiery enough. I say he's just stone cold out there. Maybe he's Iceman to Young's Maverick.

Yep he is not elite and signed to start over Trask. What does that make Trask? How is Carson Strong? Who also had durability concerns just like Corral.

    • I know it's only been training camp and one preseason game, but I think T-Mac has already shown his floor to be exactly what I said about him in the pre-draft process. That his floor if he never improves his game, is as one of the best #2 WRs in the NFL, if not even still a low end #1 (i.e. a 25th-ish best WR in the league). I think it's safe to say he's already established himself as our #1, and there are only a small handful of teams in the league where I don't think he'd be their starting #2 WR in Week 1. Bengals (Higgins), Dolphins (Waddle), Eagles (Smith), Bucs (Godwin if healthy), Rams (Adams) are really the only teams where I think he'd be the #3 as a rookie in Week 1.  A few others like the Lions (Williams), Bears (Odunze), Seahawks (Kupp), Commanders (Deebo), where he'd be the 2b to start the season, just because they're vets and/or already have a year or two of experience with their team/QB. And even having said that, I think by year 2, he's better than every one of those players (And no, I'm not saying he's already going to be better than a prime version of Adams, just whatever he'll be at 33 next year), and same goes for Kupp, but that's more because it seems like his body might be quitting on him in a way that hasn't happened to Adams (yet).
    • Well to be fair, Horn not practicing right now to let his stitches heal up from a car accident isn't something that should be concerning.  Sure, you don't want him missing practice leading into the season, but it's one that once healed, won't have lingering affects or fear of re-injuring it, it was just bad luck.
    • Quality backups are absolutely important. This franchise has been plagued with depth problems. That said, there is a little bit of dismay that Mays can't beat out a 1-legged man, and all the talk going into the off-season was how BC would certainly be gone since he had position versatility.  In the end, it doesn't matter too awfully much, as I would be shocked to no end if Corbett makes it through the season. We know what we have in reserve, and that should surely be better than trying to sign random fat guys mid season to try and take over.
