Albert Breer: Bryce Young 'never relinquished his lead' over Panthers' other QB options

It sure feels like there’s nothing really left other than for Roger Goodell to get to the stage and spit Young’s name out, a little at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday. Anyone with more solid contacts with the team confirm that? Cause I've also heard most of the team [front office] wants AR and he was the target since #3 was also in play for a move up, but Tepper over ruled everyone and is making the pick Young.

It has already been reported that Tepper is letting his GM and HC make the pick. It has also been reported a few times that Young was the guy to beat initially, though the staff was open-minded enough to see if someone could surpass him. Apparently no one did.
