Okay, let's make those final predictions for the Carolina Panthers 2023 draft. Who do you think we'll be taking?

First Round: Pick 1: Bryce Young, QB Alabama

Second Round: Pick 39 Mazi Smith, DT Michigan

Third Round: Pick 93 Brenton Strange, TE, Penn State

Fourth Round: Pick 114 Byron Young, Edge, Tennessee

Fourth Round: Pick 132 AT Perry, WR, Wake Forest

Fifth Round: Pick 145 Dorian Williams, LB, Tulane

Honestly, though, I can see us trying to trade back into the second round.

Simulated my mock based on what I feel might happen. Not my wants. Traded #39 down to #52 and traded #179 (I forgot but somewhere around there) to #201 and #203 and a couple 2024.

after the first pick i've got no idea where we pick because Fitt will be trading all over the place.

when the dust settles we'll have walked away with

Young

Ringo (CB)

Mingo (WR)

Brenton Strange  (TE)

Adetomiwa Adebawore (DL/EDGE)

Noah Sewell (LB)

maybe.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
