the country worships and serves the rich and grovels for crumbs from the table....and we should be grateful when some of the crumbs trickle down to us. but if they don't...serves us right for not being as awesome and rich as the billionaire gods.

Side note.  Have you seen the series Altered Carbon?  If not, you should.

Don’t piss and moan at me

be proactive and write your legislators

If not, then you’re not part of the solution

Many of our elected legislators sit on Twitter all hours of the day and evening wasting keystrokes on nonsense and blocking their constituents. The current american political process overall is joke status. It's ridiculous to put the onus on average citizens to make sure billionaires are not treating American government dollars like their own personal piggy bank. If you want to carry water for billionaires it is within your rights but just own it if that's what you're going to do.

we don't stand a chance against $$$$$. send letters, emails, tweets, call them, whatever...they don't look at that stuff. they hire people to "take care" of it so they don't have to.

both parties have one goal...load up on cash and stuff the election war chests.

See. You understand reality and that was my point.

someone mentioned wanting change and “ I shouldn’t accept the way it is” blah blah blah

well you can start with a letter

quite a frivolous quest indeed, but nonetheless it may do more than trying to make accusatory statements on how I’m conspiring with billionaires to take away money that could have been used for the greater good and remodel the piggly wiggly.

So it's in the realm of possibility that our small voices could be heard?

I made a suggestion for the route if someone really wanted to make the effort as opposed to complaining about how things are and the way they believe things ought to be.

I mean... I am going to assume you've made purchases before, and I'd be willing to bet some of those purchases cam from stores who've made a few people billionaires.  We all have a hand in it whether you choose to agree or not, but it is what it is. It's unfortunate, but I don't think I need to remind anyone the US is the epitome of a mixed economy.

I live in Statesville. Iredell County ... the county north of Charlotte that no one ever talks about. Before COVID hit both Fairfield and Hilton built smallish hotels or large motels, depending on how you look at it, in Statesville off I-77. I don't know whether or not they've recovered well from the lockdown but Statesville has always had full occupancy during NASCAR weekends. Goes to show that a large regional events' impact goes much further than the events' actual location. It would be the same for any large scale NFL event in Charlotte.

I believe that the money spent for BOA's renovation and expansion is money well spent. But I also believe that part of the money should come from the state and not just the city of Charlotte because the impact goes beyond Charlotte. The sticking point may be the taxation involved. Also, the state should be involved because a good, reliable regional public transportation system needs to be installed. Currently, there basically is not one that functions well.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
