Who prepares for an effing preseason game?

Exactly. To me, it seems like Frank expected much more vanilla play and not stunts being run the entire game. But again, the o line should he able to pick up a basic stunt.

Could be some disconnect between reporters and players.  Reporters talk about the Bryce pass….Jets players acknowledging in reality that play never likely gets off if they could go after Bryce.

I agree to an extent, but sometimes saying you got a sack cause you got close doesn't exactly reflect reality either.

Problem with playing a team on Hard Knocks. I guarantee if this was a normal joint practice and preaseason game it probably would have been more vanilla. But the Jets gotta show out for the camera.

I think this narrative that the Jets somehow game planned and did all this extra stuff....is largely just a fanbase coping with the fact the unreal expectations are already having to come down a bit so soon.

They stunted.  That's a pretty vanilla aspect to a DL.  You practice that like everything else. I'm pretty sure the Jets even did it practice that week.   It's like a QB pump faking and claiming that is unfair to do in a preseason game.  Claiming that's gameplanning because your DB bought hard on it.

this. it was a damn practice game. it was our first. it was an evaluation. and it was against a team that felt it needed to have a win before winning actually matters.

the whole damn thing was basically a sucker punch. so congrats to the jets on their "win".

i hope y'all fall flat on your faces.

We embarrassed them in joint practice where it matters the most, they out schemed us (lol) in a preseason game.

Lets wait for the real games to see if the sky is falling.

I mean, even Aaron Rodgers was giggling and had to go to his toes on the "sacks" they were counting in practice against our O.  Not sure we embarrassed them as bad was a painted here.

We had our moments yeah, but it might of been understated how well the Jets dealt with our OL in practice simply because ESPN and the likes wanted to focus on Rodgers getting frustrated when we caused some problems.

Well our OL in practice featured Cam Erving getting beat like a drum by several different guys. Hopefully he doesnt have to see the field in the regular season. By all accounts we did much better in the practice sessions than in the game that the Jets schemed for and we didnt.

    • The #Panthers explored the possibility of adding Jaire Alexander, but there was never an offer made, a league source told @theobserver.   https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1935436577649401872?s=46
    • Yes I agree, the future RT could easily be christ. When he shocking re-signed here for the cheap, he said part of the reason was the OL coaching staff.  I've already thought too much about 2026. The RT has all the options, including resigning Motown. I was never a big fan, but he's solid and peptides and stem cells can fix a gippy knee. If he makes it though this year and wants to return, why not for 2 years 16 million?? Or like you said give the job to Christ or draft your RT...... that I feel is the best current method. With both OGs in the 20 million per cap range and Icky......ooooooooooo boy he could be the first 30 million per OLmen in NFL history. That's a huge portion of cap space for the OL, which I agree with, but in order to offset those 20 and 30 million deals... you need cheap rookie contracts. (unless Motown would take a huge pay cut and whoever the C will be).  This is the deepest OL I can recall in Panthers history.  I believe Morgan should try and trade either Kingston or Zavala.  I didn't even talk about Yosh, Tarquin, or Walton. Yosh is same age as christ and why not him as RT after good swing tackle years? Tarquin is a UDFA on the prayer program, 150,000 in guarantees and why not him in 2026? Walton seems to be a OL coach favorite, he followed the Tampa Bay staff here after 2 years there and add in one year here, he's stuck around for some reason. I think they need to spend very light on RT and Panthers have lots of options, I love it.
    • That better not be the case. They need to be ready week 1. The easiest part if their schedule is the first few fames
