Rumor has it the Eagles may cut Penny due to a numbers game.  Would love to take a chance on him.

That would be a very big addition for us. Do you want Penny over K Hunt he seems like a really good late pickup especially with these mounting injuries.

Maybe I’m wrong, but we really should have kept Forman.

I didn't think so before but it seems like we could of put a lot more effort into bringing him back because he went somewhere were he's not the starter either which baffled me. He took a 3 mill deal we could of swung something close and entice him with no relocation a coach who loves to run the ball FR. Even Duce as a coach could've had more weapons we'll see how it plays out early in the season before I judge to much.

I don't believe that player development is necessarily a waste of time. It can actually be looked upon as a positive or all involved parties. Everyone can't start right away. Some players need extra attention and time. Give me $15400 per week for being on a practice squad. I'll work to get on the 53 and be happy.

Nobody develops from the sideline.

That's not (even remotely) what's going on.

If we don't think he's worth giving reps to cut him loose. We've been getting eyes on him in camp too supposedly. The RB position is one where you can find a stud here and there much easier than some others. I just don't want to reach the midway point in the season and be looking back thinking why didn't we do more. I assume you feel the same. With that in mind at bare minimum we should be looking at other teams cuts and possibly even signing someone like Fournette as others have mentioned. If we had a veteran QB I would be a little less concerned about this but with a rookie and a sketchy oline we need to put as much support and depth around this kid as possible.

If Chuba is out for any extended period of time, I'm all for signing Fournette, Penny or whoever as opposed to relying on an obvious project.

As I said in my previous post, they need to bring in a RB that can do the job. Young needs a competent running game that he can rely on.  Definitely a fail if they don't give him that.

If we get competent O-line play, we can establish a competent running game. Injuries obviously play a part of that equation.

My favourite part about this season's RB threads is that a lot of the same folks wringing their hands over that group are the same ones that have been pounding the drum to spend the bare minimum on the position.

I'm not saying to break the bank for a devalued position, but the irony is hilarious.

This might come as a surprise to you but there is a happy medium between paying one RB the most expensive contract in the league at his position with no starting QB in place and fielding a backfield with sensible contracts or rookies.

So... your solution to our RB injury concerns is to sign someone who has only been able to play in 42 of a possible 82 games in his career due to injury issues?

I'd like to see us go and get Hunt

Some potential waiver pickups:

Patrick Taylor, Lew Nichols, and Tyler Goodson are all battling behind Jones and Dillon in GB. Not household names but could be viable. They’ve shown well.

Josh Kelly could be on the bubble in LAC.

My only bitterness from the draft is we didn’t get Tyjai Spears. He’s looking really good. Just like when he led Tulane to beat Caleb/USC rgh

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
