He also has elite weapons to work with too. Does this type of skill set require an elite supporting cast at the NFL level? I don't know, maybe.

So Miami has given us the blueprint. I expect we will be hitting the wr free agency hard this offseason.

Not really a great WR class next year. There could be some guys cut next offseason but right now it's pretty much Mike Evans, Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman and Calvin Ridley as potential #1s. All of whom, to me, have significant concerns as a WR1 to pay in FA. I actually like the idea of Evans but he'll get overpaid most likely and age/mileage is the main concern. Pittman is ok but more of a number 2, same with Higgins. Ridley could be a #1 but obviously has had the suspension and even before that had a mental health leave of absence so I'd be hesitant to give him big $ which he could command in FA. Also I bet Ridley and Pittman are re-signed by Jags/Colts thinning the market even more.

    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
    • Cos he looks much better?
