College Football - Week 4

Shocker

None of us have any idea what college recruiting will look like going forward.

The transfer portal, NIL, conference-jumping will all result in a small number of super-team schools who will perennially compete for the championship while the other 100+ D1 schools are struggling to survive.

Why do you think, all of a sudden, Nick Saban and Alabama are just another good team and not world dominant like they have been for years?

Dabo sitting on 2 Ls.

Clemson your time is up!

Dabo’s had 2 Ls plenty of times during this historic run.  It will be okay Paul Finnebaum.

we can just look at the nattys to cope with the pain in the meantime.

Nix was 21-13 at Auburn with a garbage roster. In the SEC and rebuilding, that's not very bad.

He got benched for Finley then worked he way back as a starter. It’s one of the reasons he transferred. He was a legacy QB who was benched for a backup transfer QB.

What have you done for me lately...

Keep that same energy for all coaches. Prime 3-1 and the world is saying their run is over LMAO.

Also with the 12 team playoffs next year, some kids will take chances on themselves and rosters with some underdog teams

    • Fair, sure.  Still not worthy of the #1 pick and still has major issues.  And you absolutely have to be concerned that for bryce to make a nfl caliber throw the conditions have to be optimal around him.  And those sacks around the 10 minute mark are just brutal to watch.
    • But his arm wasn't destroyed due to his throwing motion, it was from essentially two hits / injuries.  Tackle to prevent a pick 6 due to a lazy Benjamin route in 2016.  That was the start of having to be on a pitch count in practice.  2018 TJ Watt hit after Cam had already adjusted his mechanics and was having his best year statistically speaking, although I remember even that year questioning if he can still sling it deep.
    • Arm elasticity and arm strength are not the same thing.  There are some who have great arm strength but can't deliver off platform throws, sidearm, etc,  due to lack of elasticity.  I am concerned about Bryce's arm strength to deliver the ball when the anticipation throws aren't there and you simply need to fire a ball into a tight window.  Not sure that can ever be part of this game.  He does have good arm elasticity which is what made him special in college, throwing the ball on the move, that should serve him well in the NFL especially when he gets outside of the pocket.  My biggest concern is standing in the pocket, pressure in the face and not being able to set his feet will affect him more than others due to his height and arm strength.
