Obviously with our play calls for 42 screen passes and nothing but the safest passes, we're trying to coddle Young.  Is Young good?  Is he Bad?  NO ONE fuging KNOWS because the plays being called are basically what you call for game managers.  Well ya know what, we're not winning, we're not gonna win, and we need to give up on that hope, so we need to just air it out.  If Young goes out and throws 15 interceptions but we have at least a few flashes of good explosive plays then that gives us more hope than this constant garbage.  Cam had 4 INTs through 3 weeks, we don't talk about that and we were 1-2 and only won because we played Blaine Gabbart in a Monsoon.  Why did we have so much hope and forget about all of Cams Mistakes?  Welp, its because Chud encouraged him to air it out down field, and if we lost, at least he had the splash plays that fanbases die for.   Hell, that's what Indy did with Peyton Manning. HELL, its literally what we did last week with Andy Dalton, just call it the same and if Young is the one checking down constantly then they need to scold him because that's a losing formula and we aren't just gonna out-talent everyone like what he was able to do at bama.

TL:DR - Coaches, stop playing "not to lose", just assume we're gonna lose and atleast show us fans SOMETHING, ANNYTHING positive with our #1 overall pick.

Yeah this irritates me more than anything.  Let him sling it.  I can’t recall us running any slants, skinny posts, deep posts or crossers, etc.  The offensive system is broken.  Even Andy had to deal with some head scratching play calls and very few mid level/deep shots.  He threw for 300 yards because he threw the ball 50 times.  We have zero creativity, never throw on first down, and constantly force Bryce to play behind the chains. 
 

Let the kid throw the friggin ball.  Run more play action.  Roll him out of the pocket.  This offense currently looks exactly like the Colts offense with Matt Ryan last year.  It’s anemic, predictable, and boring.

That absolutely would make sense too, maybe they think Youngs Mind is fragile?  Whatever it is, it clearly isnt working.  I think about what Justin Fields showed last year.  Im not saying Justin Fields is any good whatsoever, but Bears fans atleast had some excitement at the end of last season not because he was winning games and not even because he wasnt turning the ball over, it was because he did some big splashy things that made fans hopeful.

At least for now.  I think it would be worth while to sit Bryce the next couple of games and let's give it another go in week 8 after the bye.

He needs to gain weight and get stronger. I truly can’t believe he showed up looking so damn small.

He can't gain height, but he can put on mass and get stronger.  That strip-sack/fumble today was weak.  The defender barely whacked him on the arm and the ball popped out.  Dude needs a whey powder infused IV.  I'd like to see Bryce get up to about 215 pounds.

Same goes for the one against the Saints. It doesn’t look like he gained a single pound from the end of the season last year. I really didn’t think that would be the case

Even Zach Wilson is looking a lot thicker right now. Maybe Bryce thought this would be easy

      It would be nice to see #9 prove people like this laughably wrong. That's why many Panthers fans myself included were wanting to see how much time he'd dedicated to his craft following the conclusion of the season but then he showed up and let everyone know he pretty much crawled under a rock. Somehow the Panthers social team though this was rather amusing after what we'd sacrificed for the rights to draft him It's interesting that we go from Levis being least desirable of the class and a complete and total meathead that would alienate himself from his teammates to being talked up as possibly emerging as one of the better young QB's entering the 2024 season. Man what a whirlwind the last 12 months have been for the people who fully bought the hype machine in the lead up to the 2023 NFL draft and did victory laps like they had their very own sports almanac from BTTF. Life comes at you fast folks.

      You either need to do waaay more drugs or waaay less drugs, your current intake is not right. Sorry I can not advise on which path to take.

      He's routinely a great watch.  Good content.  I like his optimism on Chubba in our scheme, allows us to bring in Brooks at an optimal pace relative to his recovery (who we got obviously to be our new guy, could become the focal point of this offense) The two news OGs will have no issue playing our offense coming from familiar schemes, one in Hunt being league top, is going to be huge for our running game more than anything.  I also liked him maintaining some optimism with Icky.   Seeing his page and commentary on our defense really puts in perspective how much turnover we have.  It should feel like a much different team (hopefully better) especially that front-7.  Jewell is going to be better than people expect, he was super unheralded for Denver and is just a smart closer who played against the Chiefs routinely well.
