Meanwhile DG and Fitts can't pick a halfway decent player in the 1st round to save their lives

Bruh, Getts drafted Starr, Shaq and CMC, two were decent to good and the other is elite. He may have been an ass but we had the most success while he was GM (3 winning records,4 playoffs in 5 seasons)

Hurney is the GOATed first round drafter though. I will not argue that. It's everything else he sucked at and why we only had 3 winning seasons when he was the GM (out of 15).

I have no defense for Fitts at the moment.

So Hurney was the best at drafting top level talent in the first round while putting together overall dogshit rosters, Gettleman drafted semi-ok but put together solid rosters, but was a bonafide asshole, and then we have Scott Fitterer in the corner eating paint chips.

I've been scolding this forum for years for constantly pissing and moaning about our GMs.  Hate to break it to you, but the mess we are in right now is not on Fitterer.  I think he's done a wonderful job of building a very competitive roster talent wise.

Tepper blew it with the Bryce Young pick.  Simple as that.  Dude is Jerry Jones 2.0

The thing with Hurney is his FA signings were mediocre, and he did overpay for vets. But his first-round picks were almost always absolute game changers - franchise cornerstones that make up for any other mistakes. We've now lost that edge and our late round picks are somehow even worse than before, and so we never get those rebound seasons we always had.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
    • I'd 10x rather play the NFC North than NFC West.
