i saw he was playing this weekend this morning. Did they announce they are sitting him? That timeline actually works out for us - if we did this

I saw him say he didn’t expect to miss much time if any

Really trying to think who’d they be calling about.

Terry McLaurin? Davante Adams (almost 32)? I really don’t think the 49ers would trade Aiyuk. I’m ruling out the teams in our division so no Evans or Pitts. Amari Cooper? Jerry Jeudy can’t stay healthy. Courtland Sutton I’m not sure qualifies as top tier. Miami isn’t trading Waddle in year 3 of a rookie deal with a 5th year option. Jameson Williams hasn’t proved anything yet. Christian Watson? Devonta Smith?

Tee Higgins makes the most sense I think. We’re not getting Chase or Jefferson

I still don't understand how people can honestly think Higgins isn't a #1

Far too often in today's NFL fans, they view things in terms of fantasy football, not real life football.

No, Higgins isn't a WR1 in fantasy football, he's "just a 2" for fantasy, but there are 32 teams in the NFL, if you don't think he's one of the top 32 WRs in the league, you don't know football.

No, he's not a Top 10 guy, but only 10 teams can have a top 10 guy, and that's if no teams have two of them (like the Dolphins might with Tyreek and Waddle).

But YES, Higgins is without question a WR1 in real life NFL football, no question about it.

Having said that, not sure the Bengals would give him to us for what I'd like, I'd do Burns for Higgins and a high pick (I'd like a first but don't think they do that, maybe a 2nd).  But I'm not sure they do that before they know they can't make a playoff run this year, and even then, not sure they're trading Higgins plus a pick for a player they have to give a big contract to, more likely will just trade Higgins for a pick.

I just got higher standards for passing out #1 labels to WRs, i get why many think hes a #1.

Has higgins ever forced a defense to double him?? I dont think even before chase thee great came he has....

Higgins has a different minor injury that he plays through every few weeks.  I don't find him appealing in the least for what we apparently are looking for.

I don't mind the idea of Marquise Brown.  He's much more in line with what we need right now as we need someone who can turn short throws into TDs and have gamebreaking speed/plays.

My hope is one thing - just don't give up another first.

Call Atlanta and ask them if they aren’t planning on using Pitts or London if they are available. Maybe leverage that call into them trading for Andy Dalton so somebody can throw those two the ball.

Those were 2 guys I thought of as well but calling a division rival during a time of desperation will end horribly for us

This is the darkest timeline. But honestly, they don’t throw the ball with Ridder so you might as well get something for him.

Who is even available?

Higgins seems like the most realistic. Devonta Adams might be available, but he most likely wants a contending team.

Fitt is about to do something stupid I can feel it in my bones!

Bro just tell Adams we are one player away *shrug*

It's just pure idiocy. We don't need a wr right now we need better play calling and better pass blocking.

We could have tyreek hill and devante adams right now and they're not going be doing a ton with all their targets being 10 yards or less and a majority of them being at or around the LOS.

I gotta think they’re thinking they’ll make a move for a QB this offseason so they may not want to trade off offensive pieces. I mean they don’t need to look far to see how that worked out for us.

What would you be willing to move for Pitts? I’d much rather him over London especially for Bryce

    • Yea when teams see a gun charge they rightly pause but this seems like a big misunderstanding.
    • Sorry man you lost me at "Teppers have evolved as owners". Limped into playoffs at 8-9 not even above .500 Tepper is trash as an owner bro and that's not even a discussion at this point. 37-83 w/l ratio. Nuff said.... Morgan tho, he's cooking and it ain't cuz of Teppers leadership
    • After listening to Morgan's presser twice, I came away with some key beliefs. First of all, I don't think he's a bullshitter. What you see is what you get. When he says something, he means it.  The Teppers really have evolved as owners. Morgan has mentioned how they're easy to work with--a pleasure to work with a few times now. There seems to be a good relationship between all of them (and include Dave Canales on that). We'll see if it lasts. Yes, no one wanted to come to Carolina with the previous management, but that seems to have changed. The team signed arguably the top Edge, LB and OT on the market, two of them on pretty good deals and one on what I'll say is "not a bad one." And, credit Sunshine Dave "Flowers and Cotton Candy" Canales for helping to change the culture. Morgan mentioned getting guys--and I'm paraphrasing--that are not only great football players but great people. Don't look for us to be acquiring any James Pearce types anytime soon, just saying. We'll see if that holds true in the future. Dan Morgan really has set up the Panthers to take the BPA/BAP. He mentioned it at least a couple of times, and he doesn't seem pressured to pinpoint a particular position. He just wants quality players that will help the team. This is how it's going to be (to your joy or dismay, probably for as long as he's here), and personally I love it. Many of us know how Morgan was when he played: aggressive! That's what he's going to be when making acquisitions. He explicitly said it, and emphasized it. All avenues are open (think FA, waivers...the draft)! Personally, as long as it's controlled aggression and not reckless aggression, I love it.  On KP: "Mobility is big in this league."  He basically says if another QB is the BPA while drafting--we're going by our board, people--we're going to add them.        ...
