Bryce actually showed some signs of life.

Other than a couple of bad INTs, I saw some flashes today.

The Lions went into a prevent defense in the 4th quarter and stopped sending the house to ruin Bryce.

Im not trying to be a dick towards you, but I need to see some signs of life from Bryce when we aren’t down by 3+ TDs in the 4th quarter and the other team goes into full prevent mode.

He's just not a NFL level talent and you can't win in the NFL with him as your QB. Nice kid, very humble, not his fault he was taken 1 overall, but it was a mistake.

Don't care if he's a rookie. Don't care if it has been 3 starts. He fails the eye test. He doesn't have it.

He can't throw a football at a NFL level. There is 0 arm talent. Cam post shoulder injury has an exponentially stronger arm.

I get your point, and, hey, we do need to see much more. I agree totally. But, did they really go into full prevent mode? I saw passes into tight pockets.

I went back to some Alabama tape. I think we need weapons who can get themselves open underneath. BY loves to throw underneath. His best deep passes are down the middle. I think maybe one burner WR for go routes, but otherwise we need guys who can get open really quick inside and produce some YAC. Really miss Curtis Samuel, tbh.

Def a speedster is needed. Along with a tall safety blanket TE. Too bad we have no 1st round pick

You could be right, but I saw some good throws today.

He just isn’t NFL caliber. Yeah, some will say his 200+ yard game today is proof he made strides, but in reality he didnt. He put up a huge bulk of those yards in garbage time when Detroit had pretty much blown us out.   Even his one throw everyone is praising looked a bit weak.  The best we could expect out of BY is on the level as Bridgewater.  We took the wrong QB in the draft plain and simple.

Just like people say that there's always an excuse from some when Bryce plays bad, I submit to you that there's always an excuse when he plays well (albeit in spurts).

In fairness these same remarks were made about Dalton. Garbage time yada yada. And we actually kept that one close. It's always how it's going to go if your team is blown out. But. I will say today our defense was ass. It's looking like some guys in the locker room might be done.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
