If you’re hoping for a GM / Coaching fire in season, this IS the most opportune week

0-6 and heading to a bye is pretty much the perfect window to fire Fitterer / Tool Reich. Otherwise it would more likely be an end of the season black Monday scenario.

There’s no way we head into the bye 0-6 without SOMETHING. Either Reich gives up playcalling, someone gets canned, something. Otherwise at the Texans game you’ll see at attendance of less than 10,000

There has been no sign of hope, just them digging in and looking for a trade to help turn it around.

I seriously doubt they do jack except make a trade and then have the bot stop by to tell us all about it. Sorry but that is what I see. And if you doubt me just remember that the guy who owns the team was fine with a 5 year turn around and then they started talking 7 years according to JZ. Sorry.

I don't think we do anything until year end and then Scott is gone. What's annoying is we hear all about this meddling by Tepper, but the one thing that everyone can see will help the team (forcing Reich to giveup play calling) is the thing he hasn't stepped in on.

They're not going to appoint a GM mid-season, so there's no real point in firing Fitterer besides to take his hands off the controls (so he can't make any more stupid trades).

Reich I could see having a come to Jesus moment later on in the season and mutually agreeing to part ways.

The season is already lost, firing anyone other than position coaches underperforming will scare away some coaching / GM candidates. If we lose out or win one game, anyone interviewing will completely understand.

Honestly trying to make improvements to win at all at this point will only hurt our 33rd pick in the draft as well.

Frank just got here, so it would take a scandal to get rid of him. Fitt has made plenty of terrible decisions, but his fate is tied to how Young turns out. He has until it's clear Young is a bust, or he'll retire here if Young is a star.

    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
    • I basically made almost the exact predictions on a phone call with a buddy about 3 weeks ago. I really do expect Evero gone before the seasons end, Young to just not able to get over the hump enough and DC to head into next season on a VERY hot seat.
