hubbard is so much better than sanders im questioning every coach on this offense. is sanders starting simply because hes making 6m?

It's maddening.  And this poo has been happening across multiple coaches/staffs now.

Of course, politics/money always play a part in decisions, but it shouldn't when the answer is that obvious...  just too much ego and pride involved.  I recall Cam talking with Lou Young recently on his YouTube show, and he even said Lou was probably the most talented CB we had on that 2015 roster, but that he never got reps.  It happens all the time on every team, in every sport, but it does seem to happen a lot more here, for a lot longer before the decision makers admit their mistakes.

OG, WR, and CB are needs 1A, 1B, and 1C this off-season.

WR, CB and Edge.  We've got guards, they are hurt and the ones in there now are backups constantly being shuffled around. Zero continuity.

So we went pass happy and shelved the run game which was working well with chubba.

This. Bryce currently clearly looks comfortable when the game script is decent, which was happening when we were running the ball.

Feels like the defense has to make a play to lift the offense at this point to win…

The fact Thielen is doing what he's doing proves a WR can thrive in this offense... the issue is the receivers outside of him SUCK and Thielen, for as good as he has been, is still limited to the slot.

Thielen is really good at exploiting zone. Outside receivers cannot consistently separate and it’s evident.

    • EA is being sold so if you think it can't get worse then you had better buckle up. I gave up on them long ago when Madden became more for children buying cards vs the great days of franchise mode.
    • Its not about being salty after a 17 point comeback and a 200 yard rusher. Those things are great and aren't to be overlooked. Its looking at the overall picture and asking yourself, where those a great individual effort on Rico's part? Yes. Did DC have an amazing game plan that created those opportunities? Meh. Rico broke a lot of tackles and did some hard nose running and there was some piss poor tackling as well. Did Bryce put it a herculean effort and really put this team on his back and carry them to victory? I dont think so. He had 2 turnovers and played OK for the 2nd half. Nothing that makes me say thats the guy thats gonna lead our team for the next decade.  Looking at our defense. Adjustments were made, Evero did well shutting down Achane who is a good RB. We had a good defensive game with a few mistakes here and there.  Im 3 decades into being a Panther fan. Wins like this don't do much for me. We beat a bad team. We haven't had back to back winning seasons ever. We haven't had a winning season in 8 years. Our FO and coaching staff has a lot to prove. So no, Im not going to get exited about a win over a team thats likely going to end up with a top 3 pick or a QB that imploded. Ill get excited about a winning season or clear visible progress even if we lose every game. Things that show this team is actually moving in the right direction and implementing the things that will produce a winning product year in and year out.  Until then. Who cares about beating a division rival on our way to another top 10 draft pick and a 5-12 season. Yay. We still suck balls. But we got a moral victory. That poo is for losers.  Im tired of the Panthers and their fans being perennial losers.
    • Given the average ypp is around 7.1, I would say 20 is plenty long.
