If Tepper is smart he goes after Jim Harbaugh.

You know what? Whoaa might be an annoying little trend follower ... but he's our annoying little trend follower.

Im not annoying just a guy who wants to win. Im trying to get people to realize Tepper is the problem. He should no longer be calling the shots. Get a true alpha and have them build a real football program. Harbaugh would have us as contenders in a few years. Look at his track record dude is a certified winner.

Was my preferred hire ever since Tepper fired Rivera. We'd likely be a winner right now as opposed to battling to be the worst team since 2018 with no clear answers to become a top tier team.

He's not everyone's cup of tea, but he is a winner. That's all I care about. He knows how to build championship competitive teams. He's done it both in college and pros.

Tepper needs to wake up and hire that guy.

HC don't count against the cap. Tepper is the 2nd richest owner in the NFL. Pay Harbaugh and give him full control. Things are getting ugly at Michigan and Harbaugh will most likely look to jump back to the pros. This has Pete Carrol leaving USC written all over it.

Tepper do the right thing give Harbaugh full control and let him turn this franchise around.

Thoughts on Jim Harbaugh as HC next season?

Tepper needs to hire a proven team President and let them make football decisions on coaching hires, football related  issues. He needs to look after his other “Apppaloosa” business. Of course, we know that won’t happen. We need to see what Thomas Brown does.

Tepper does not want a coach with balls as big as his. He wouldn't be able to control Harbaugh like the others.

i really think this is ultimately why wilks wasn't given the job. he's not the character that harbaugh is, but it's plain as day that wilks would have very little patience for a meddling owner.

any of you know any billionaires?

I know two.........and they are control freaks when it comes to their wealth no matter what it is they own. They will micromanage anyone because they know the answers even if they don't know the questions.

They are too used to being worshipped by the long line of brown noses around them and can't stand not feeling in control.

Their public persona is a different game for public consumption only.

Harbaugh?

"We liked some of his ideas but he's not really a good fit for our organization." - You know who.

There's a reason Harbaugh isn't in the NFL right now.

I don't know exactly what it is, but with all the issues he's had at Michigan over his time there, the fact that he hasn't jumped at any NFL opportunities is telling.

Whether it's that he doesn't like coaching entitled millionaires, that he doesn't think his style of coaching works for them these days (which is the same reason Deion will never coach in the NFL), or because of some other reason, there is something that has kept him in college.

I don't want to be the team that overpays him to go to a job/league that he doesn't really want to be in, only likely to end in a disaster, similar to Urban Meyer

THings at Michigan aren't that bad. The NCAA with selective enforcement of rules that whomever is paying them wants enforced. They ignore tampering with student-athletes but investigate this? Michigan could railroad their current schedule with or without seeing opposing teams in person.

Totally agree.  Very slim chance he leaves Michigan. Big part of it is his young kids. He has always said he wanted his kids to grow up in Michigan.  Every couple of years he throws a tantrum and entertains offers for the NFL. It is just a tactic to get Michigan to pony up more $$$.

    • Sober. Still feeling it. I really like how the schedule is laid out for us. Perfect for a new HC and rebuilding team. Aside from the Bengals, there aren't  any good teams before the bye. Chargers will be, but they're having to figure poo out just like we are and they'll be coming here for an early game. That one is a toss up. I like our defense against them. I think we'll give the Bengals a fight, but I wouldn't put money on us winning that one. But the saints can be swept. They're beat up and just don't have much going on. They'll be at the bottom of the division. I feel like we will split with the falcons and the bucs. There's nothing scary about the raiders or that washington team. Chicago is another toss up, but they aren't scary either....not yet anyways. We're getting them early in the season so I like our chances. I especially like our defense against a rookie QB. And the broncos....boring. Giants....again, boring. Looking at this, we've got a good defensive thing going on. I think the unit will be better this year a d we're in season 2 of Evero. I like us especially against rookie QBs, and we'll have at least 3 we're facing before the bye. We come in and play smash mouth football and just keep hitting (pounding) away and I think we're competitive. It's that schedule after the bye that scares me. Hopefully by that point they've built up a lot of confidence. You get a scrappy dawg that's got some confidence and a lot of fight in him and you've always got a shot. I think that's what we'll be this year. This year isn't about winning all the games. It's about building confidence and learning what we've got to do.
    • To be honest I just haven't been paying attention. I have PTSD from all these shitty Tepper hires. I'm just going to wait and see what takes the field.
    • What is extremely rare?  Taking a young quarterback when you have a starter?  If that is what you are referring to, at one time it wasn't that rare.
