His basketball IQ is honestly the most impressive thing I have seen from him so far. He plays under control and always seems to make the right play. Already one of the smartest players on the team as a rookie!

Over time I would like to see us put the ball in his hands more often. He's basically 3&D right now. He can create for others if we let him control the ball.

Yeah the assist on the Richards dunk was nasty. Also Ish just got here so he's going to get some vet tips to push his IQ even higher

Personal opinion but I think Miller had the nicest as well as the most pivotal plays of the game.

The nicest play of the game was Miller’s step back three in the corner, after he made the shot he had a look in his eyes that you see from NBA superstars when they are locked in.

The most pivotal play was Miller’s three at the top with four minutes left in the game. That three took the Hornets from down 99-98 to up 101-99, the Hornets never trailed again after that shot.

Kid is a dog.

Got hot in the 4th quarter should have closed the game but Clifford the big red head took him out.

He's going to have to earn that starting spot but not a bad performance tonight.

Mark Williams though that dude is the truth!

Appreciate the re-cap.  Steve Clifford is a clown.

Then Clifford decided to take him out.smh

He had the hot hand there is no telling how many more shots he would have made in crunch time. Hayward is a vet I get it, but he's not a better option than Brandon Miller. We should have let Miller close the game he had it going.

Agreed, I’d have gone Melo - Terry - Miller - PJ - Big Mark

    • Seven North Carolina players have entered the transfer portal or announced their intentions to enter so far today: Derek Dixon (6.5 PPG) Jonathan Powell (4.8 PPG) Kyan Evans (4.0 PPG) Zayden High (3.4 PPG) Isaiah Denis (1.9 PPG) Jaydon Young (1.8 PPG) James Brown (1.2 PPG)
    • As long as we have DB, odd man fronts are the way to go for us. We want to line DB up between the guard and tackle (4i-tech) because of how quick he is off the snap and his punch on the guard off the snap. If anyone is wondering why he pretty much has to be doubled (or combo blocked) just about every snap, its because he is lined up in that spot in our odd man front. If we change to an even front, it becomes a lot harder to have DB play the 4i-tech.  Not sure if I would say Evero likes smaller NTs - I wouldn't call Bobby Brown a small NT by any sense. I think we run a 1-tech NT, so they are usually getting double teamed (or combo blocked) by concept alone. I actually think Bobby Brown did a pretty good job of eating blocks and being positionally sound on most runs at him (not his fault we were rocking ass LBs last year + Wharton being god awful). The bigger problem came on the toss plays/outside runs where DB wasn't able to blow it up in the backfield (i.e., the Bills game). Lloyd should help with the run D and getting a rangy LB in the draft will definitely help. There are also some good 1-tech DTs (and 0-techs) that can be instant day 1 starters for us in the draft.
    • Thanks for bringing receipts. I appreciate the facts, but they are a stark contrast to what we see on the ice, but maybe, as I've said before, his "aw sh!t" moments just seem to weigh heavier than his "attaboy" moments.
