Is Tonight Rock Bottom of We Lose?

Compared to what? At this point, I don't know what purpose winning serves. I also don't see how there can be any mid-season philosophical change short of going to an offensive style similar to what the Lions run, which is what we did last year.

As I've said many times. We need to be under center, we need to go play action heavy under center, and we need to throw from under center. The entire offense is run out of the shotgun right now and it's literally terrible.

What is the purpose of running from a single back formation on 1st down, only to go shotgun on 2nd and 3rd down? It's so predictable it's hard to watch.

Burns will be tagged

If we had traded Burns to the Rams we'd have a Top 10 pick this year. Had we done that trade and not traded up for Bryce, we may have been in a position to have two Top 10 picks in one of the deeper QB classes in years.

Tepper is a moron who went QB fishing and has been QB fishing since 2019. It's killed the program.

Every time I think we've hit rock bottom Tepper breaks out the heavy equipment and finds a way to keep digging.

We keep dicing up pieces of sh*t into tinier pieces of sh*t.  And then when the dust settles, Tepper's like "you know what? I think we need to keep dicing this up"

I wish DJ and Foreman the best. They didn’t ask to leave

for me, it is rock  bottom as no one or nothing can save them

schemes that the personnel do not fit is never a good look

….and, there was almost no retooling done which frighteningly means, either  the coach or GM didn’t see it or were just ‘a wishin and a hoping ‘ for a miracle

sucks in any case

Reich’s offense couldn’t throw a slant if his very life depended on it or go to a two TE set to help blocking. Trips left. Trips right to receivers who can’t get open or catch it when it’s thrown …that is if the QB makes a throw that isn’t intercepted or in the dirt

good times

we're already there. This is the team's low point.

Even in 2001 and 2010 we had high first rounders to look forward to.

We don't even have that.

I agree.. I am already numb the season is done!! Do I really care if Bryce improves?? Meh!! I have zero confidence in this coaching staff!! This season is a wash!! Part of me wants us to get embarrassed so people get fired!! But I want the win too since it’s on National TV!! Just numb and ready for change Again!!

    • Great point.    I would lke to add that there is another QB on the roster who was terrible over the middle--Kenny Pickett.
    • I don't think this is the year for Carolina, unfortunately.  I think they will have to make a decision on the QB position-all we know is that Bryce has year 5, but a long term deal has not been signed--yet--and they would be smart to take a "wait and see" approach.  I have not kept up, and I see a path to upside for Bryce, but I do not think we have aggressively pursued a QB when our QB was mediocre to worse than mediocre.  yes, his numbers are improving--but he has adapted by eliminating what he does poorly and not improving on what he does poorly.  Just my take and I have no data to support this view.   Basically, we go as Bryce goes, so the approach is not to bring in a QB to have him compete until we find one, but it is to make Bryce as good as he can be--is that good enough? Season ticket holders buy the hope of winning rings, not winning 8 games. Last year, Bryce had a resurgence.  Take away TMac and Rico Dowdle.  How good was he?  I still have hope.  Not a hater of plan A, but a hater because we have no plan B.
    • Yeah man, I've been here for a very very long time. Couldn't even begin to tell you what year. Maybe 2004 or 5? I've never really been super active, just enjoy reading everyone's opinions and discussions. I'll chime in from time to time. I have had a few different accounts over the years. It's always been a fun place for me to check in on my favorite team. Hopefully we can keep the place running for a long while still. I also would like to recommend bringing back the Lovely Ladies page!
