"Bank of American announces Panther fans contest"

Bank of American PR department has teamed up with the Carolina Panthers to conduct a contest at the BofA stadium this Weds 11-15 at 9am. Anyone over 295lbs is eligible to show up and hit a genuine Panther team  blocking sled.......the person who can move it the most distance in a set time period will be selected to a final group of contestants to participate in a "sled off" with the winning contestant starting with the Panther offensive line unit this coming week when they face the Dallas Cowboys Sunday afternoon 11-19 at BoA stadium.

Panther's front office could not be reached for a comment but word is all contestants will receive a steak and ketchup dinner after the contest concludes.

Damn, why did a start that diet? Lol

I hope this means Zavala gets another shot at LG. It couldn't be any worse than what Calvin Throckmorton was doing. Also, it'll at least give the broadcasters something positive to talk about with us how Icky and Zavala played next to each other at NC state and how much of a feel-good story that is as they both allow Micah Parsons to sack Bryce.

Its alright, we wont be able to hear the announcers over the cowboy fans cheering in our stadium.

Gotta think on the bright side this will be good experience for Bryce to learn what it's like to play in a tough environment on the road expect the game will be in charlotte. 🤣

Yeah, he had nearly 1000 yards from scrimmage as a rookie. His usage went down last year then he's hardly been used at all this year. I thought he was probably a rotational/3rd down back type of guy in the NFL.

His lack of use has kinda been baffling since the guy they're starting has had two good games but otherwise been atrocious and their #2 is barely averaging 3 YPC.

I mean Breece Hall is a bit on a different level than any of the RBs we're talking.

Cook, I'm surprised they didn't release him though.  Doubt he does much the rest of his career.

Abanikanda (R) beat him out though, which I get because that dude has some serious burners.  Wanted him in the 5-6ish rounds.

    • Jake in his prime was a gutsy QB. But just like with even someone like Cam. Father time is undefeated. It's very unfortunate we have a guy who is only 24 years old that has an equivalent arm to that. Absolutely blows my mind that our brain trust lacked the basic common sense to value arm talent when making a massive trade with ramifications for years to come. Unforgivable incompetence.
    • Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart.  I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl.  He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off.  One of the worst throws I ever saw.  His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery.  All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.
    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
