I think you're salty and significantly underselling FSU. They're not on par with Clemson's best teams but this year's NCAA overall isn't on par with those years either. There's a lot of talent out there but there aren't any dominant teams that you look at and say, "yeah, that's a national champ right there".

Maybe.  I mean, Clemson not being great doesn’t really bother me but I certainly can be a hater.  This FSU team just hasn’t looked good the handful of times I have seen them.  Just doesn’t jive with what you should see with a #4 playoff team

BUT like you said, the era of default powerhouse teams just doesn’t seem to exist presently.  Which largely has been this CFP era.    And maybe I’m just use to that mindset.   So while FSU doesn’t fit the bill of what I think an end of the year final 4 team should look like…..no other conference has them either.

Nice to see reality has set in for unc “fans”. These threads were getting obnoxious early in the year with LG and his gang of dwarves.

I’ll say it again and I know it’ll piss LGs delusional ass off. UNC has the ability to be a national power in football (this is a compliment) but it’ll come at the cost of their basketball program. They’ll have to pick one in this day and age of NIL and conference expansion. They have the resources to decide. Football is king and I can stomach a UNC football power as they recruit the state well.

    • At the 2026 NFL Combine, the Carolina Panthers, led by GM Dan Morgan, are evaluating a deep draft class with a 600-player board, specifically targeting defensive upgrades and offensive playmakers . Key reported formal interviews include LB Sonny Styles (Ohio State) and DE Keldric Faulk (Auburn), while also considering safety Caleb Downs and WR KC Concepcion.  AI Reported 2026 Combine Meetings/Visits: LB Sonny Styles (Ohio State): Confirmed formal interview with the Panthers. DE Keldric Faulk (Auburn): Confirmed formal interview with the Panthers. S Caleb Downs (Ohio State): Linked as a high-priority target for defensive improvement. WR KC Concepcion (NC State): Expressed interest in joining the organization, with the team highly aware of him, according to Carolina Panthers.  Draft Focus and Strategy: Defensive Focus: The team is searching for defensive upgrades, particularly a long-term answer at linebacker to continue the legacy of Sam Mills and Luke Kuechly. Draft Board Depth: The Panthers entered the combine with 600 prospects on their board, as stated by GM Dan Morgan. Offensive Needs: Despite having the 2025 Offensive Rookie of the Year in Tetairoa McMillan, they are exploring receivers to boost the passing game.
    • I am a Golday fan, but Kyle Louis is a smallish stud.
    • dumb question but I don't know the answer:  What is an "informal meeting" (aside from what it means literally) and what makes it different from "formal meeting?"  I don't know how to ask the question--but I guess I am wondering why an informal meeting is news, or if they were really interested, why not a formal meeting?
