Bryce showed nothing today

Bryce will never work out here in Carolina but watch him have some annoying rah rah season like Josh Dobbs in 5 years from now when he's holding a clip board for some other team and gets a shot to do his dink and dunk crap for a team with actual weapons and OL protection when their starter goes down.

No. Bryce has to play out this year and all of 2024. We have to know absolutely for sure that there's nothing salvageable before we draft #1 in 2025.

I agree we HAVE to make an evaluation here by the end of next season. But I don't know that there's anything left to see the remainder of this year, and if he were to suffer a significant injury it removes our ability to evaluate from next season.

Yeah, the DeVito thing really hurts any argument a Bryce Defender can come up with. Their team is putrid.

Bryce's stature really hampers him at this level.  His bad habits I think are a direct result of him trying to compensate for it.  I know other QBs have bad habits too, but his is directly tied to him being a slight dude, IMHO.  In other words, I'm not sure some of his issues can be fixed.

History saying short QB have very little success. Don’t give a damn about the history of normal QBs who had a bad rookie season. Bryce is not normal.
You could count the amount of successful short QBs in the entire NFL history on two hands.
Bryce would be an exception. He is right now the rule.

So his size is what you’re referencing….got it. The only reason I might advocate sitting Bryce for the remainder of this season is so he could focus on adding 10-15lbs before next year.

Batted balls were a big concern with his height. Haven’t seen that issue much this year. I think he can overcome the height, but he needs to be able to run through some arm tackles that have been sacks this year.

Can't be having rational discussions spoiling the "everything sucks" feat now, can we?

This is where you completely miss the point. I said I wanted to see just something special, a single moment or throw. The you said nobody would thrive in this situation. Of course nobody would thrive in this situation. None of us mentioned thriving, we just wanted to see one play above normal everyday quarterbacking.

Then you go to your regular “I’m smarter than you, so I’ll talk down to you” tone. Just get over yourself.

Yeah you like fitt and Reich.  That's telling in itself.  We are a 1 win team and you are a big fan of the people that got us here.

I get why you want to keep the argument on simple terms, but it's also misleading.

That could be deliberate or accidental. My guess is it's the former 😄

That response wasn't to you.

There have been plays that are above average for NFL QBs. Did you miss them?

The spin out of a sack and dot to Theilen on the run.

The moving of a DB with his eyes/fake then hitting Mingo (I believe).

The scramble and finding Theilen at the goal line.

Those were great plays.

those aren't special moments though.  When someone says they want to see a moment of a #1 overall QB showing a glimpse of being a special/game changer.......those aren't it.  Moving a DB with your eyes once?

PJ Walker has a better highlight reel than Bryce Young for crying out loud.
