Yeah, people would have screamed about that just as much.

Hell, we did it last week.

There was like a minute left... no chance we were getting into FG range.  And Titans had 0 timeouts.  It made the most sense just to take it to halftime.

Another game that would be winnable with Dalton.

I've been saying that since the Seattle game.  Dalton showed he still has game, but we keep trying to Bryce into something he's clearly not.  Frank won't bench him for some reason, but I have to think that's on a higher authority.  Can't take the shine off Tepper's golden child.

If the Panthers did not trade away the first round pick next year, what is going on right now would not be so frustrating and discouraging because you would know that there is an opportunity to get a really good player early in the draft.

If it makes you feel better we'll prob suck next year too.

"Why didn't Bryce throw the ball", "Noodle arm", "Can't process"

Everyone sucks.  HC, QB, RBs, WRs, TEs, OL.  All bad.  People keep trying to pin it on one thing or another when the truth is that the offense is just the perfect amount of suck everywhere.

    • Jake in his prime was a gutsy QB. But just like with even someone like Cam. Father time is undefeated. It's very unfortunate we have a guy who is only 24 years old that has an equivalent arm to that. Absolutely blows my mind that our brain trust lacked the basic common sense to value arm talent when making a massive trade with ramifications for years to come. Unforgivable incompetence.
    • Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart.  I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl.  He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off.  One of the worst throws I ever saw.  His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery.  All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.
    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
