Playing devils advocate... how can you evaluate a head coach or OC given this team's lack of talent across the board but especially oline and wr. That being said... fire everyone after the season.

The question is why is there no talent and who has been building the roster the past 3-4 years….too many traded picks to find a QB and too many bad trade ups. Frank inherited this mess.

IMO it’s easier to gage the coaches ability when the team lacks talent. That’s when a coach really has to put things in place to figure out how to make an offense or defense work.

We need to start thinking about QB options seriously.

Can we get Justin Fields for a 3rd Rd pick?

Our next HC and GM are not tied to Bryce noodle arm Young.

Sweet jesus, you really want to replace our crappy QB with another crappy QB who is going to lead his team to back-to-back Top 5 picks in the draft and is getting replaced because of it?

While also giving up our 2nd best draft pick at the same time?

We can't look at replacing Bryce until 2025 as there won't be a long term FA option we can sign (or would even want to sign here) and we don't have the draft capital to get a replacement either.  At this point we just have to hope we end up in position to draft someone with elite upside in 2025 and we don't have to wait until 2026 (although I wouldn't hate that as it would open up the possibility of Arch Manning, assuming he becomes what everyone expects).

We screwed the pooch despite 90% of fans being able to see this coming with Bryce, it's beyond fathomable that they could convince themselves to make that trade and then take the biggest gamble in the history of the NFL draft by taking someone who was going to have to be the biggest outlier in the history of the league to be successful.

We put ourselves here, we now have to live with the consequences and go about a re-build the smart way instead of constantly trying to fit the square peg in the round hole by any means necessary.

Pretty much what we are seeing with the defense. Production at all depths

Its past time for some firings. Nothing is changing and we're 1-10 after what we thought was the worst coach in our history winning 5 games each of his two full seasons. There's no reason this team should be this much worse than the last couple Rhule seasons. Then what was the point of getting rid of him if we were just going to be a worse team?

We could have easily kept CMC, DJ, Darnold, PJ, Wilks, drafted Jalen Carter, and at the very least have been somewhere near a .500 team. And we couldve saved all those god damn draft picks

Hindsight is always 20 20...

    • Rico is 0%. I think we would really like to have Mays back but we have a value in mind and aren't willing to overspend. I think someone probably will so I think the odds are pretty low but not zero.
    • Damn I liked A'Shawn too. This is basically a heads up we're planning on cutting you move.  Robinson wasn't the best but I loved his attitude and effort on the field. He held that entire dline together when Brown went down iirc..granted we finished that season as the worst rushing defense in modern NFL history.  If Wharton would have performed up to atleast half of his salary last season, I'd feel a little better about it. We do need that cap space though.
    • 13. Carolina is coming. The Panthers are well thought of around the league. Their "process" seems sound. I think their off-season will be very interesting to keep an eye on. They made the playoffs, but they're not yet knocking on the door. (Offense was 26th in EPA/play.) I think it's imperative they don't overestimate where they are in their build. They can't throw a ton of money around in FA to "make a run now". They need to be intentional about building a solid foundation. (IMO) And from what I know about the team... I think they will be. Sidenote: I have my eye on offense there, not defense. They HAVE to leave next season with a strong opinion on Bryce Young. They need to put pieces around him to do that. Can't be left wondering what he would have looked like with "better OL play" or "more pass catchers". They have to know. (That part is purely my opinion. No one told me that.) https://x.com/lindsay_rhodes/status/2027212533417869499?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
