Honestly I don't even blame Reich for this

Not sure what the buyout is…but these days the best job in the world is a fired football coach.

Don't think coaches have buyouts unless it's to leave for another job, which is generally a college thing.

NFL coaches who get fired get their full contract paid out I believe, and most college ones do unless the school is able to find ways around it, which they sometimes do.

No good employer should ever have so many bad hires.

If an employer is constantly firing employees for performance issues, one of two things and only two things is going on.

1) you suck at hiring (you're to blame)

or

2) you hire well enough, but you suck at managing your hires (again, you're to blame).

Either way....you suck and you're to blame.

I absolutely blame Frank. He has done nothing to adapt his stale system to fit the players we have. He’s done no changes or tried anything different. That is 100% his fault.

Multiple things can be true

Frank is a bad HC

Fitterer is a bad GM

and we have both because Tepper largely hires bad people.  He doesn’t know what a good GM is.  He doesn’t know what a good HC is.  And a bad HC and bad GM clearly can’t work well with an involved owner.

Same thing.  Buyout/payout the remainder of my multi-million dollar contract and I don’t have to do a thing for years.

Best gig out there.  Tepper can afford it.

Reich was probably brought into this with the idea of drafting his QB and picking his staff. He got the staff... but Tepper demanded Young. Reich caved. And now Young looks really bad, and Reich looks bad as a result.

The real problem here is Tepper. Reich isn't a great coach, but I don't think he's this bad. Every bit of our offseason lands on Tepper. The knives are going to start coming out once heads roll, and I think a lot of people are going to start talking about how this wasn't their choice once they lose their jobs.

Get rid of Fitts first. People gotta stand up to Tepper.

I agree. I just didn’t agree with the “I don’t blame Frank…” statement.

Be prepared to keep that energy next season. I know I am.

Oh I don't even believe there will be a coaching or GM change next season. I think it's going to be an entire next season filed with what we are seeing this season and am prepared to keep laughing at the comedy of errors. All we can really do is approach it with some humor and just take it all light heartedly I guess.....? I don't know any other way to approach it. If I approach it disappointed it will be years before anything looks better and that would be depressing in itself. Just keep laughing and send the pain below is all I know to do unfortunately

Wish you had this same energy for Wilks who was actually winning games!

Fug Frank he's worse than Rhule. I don't care about his sweet personality. This is a results business. He flat out sucks at coaching.

There's also the soccer team, Tepper Sports and his other enterprises.

We are 1-10. Even if Bryce was forced on Reich, what about the rest of the roster? He was here when our wide receiving corps was taking shape, for our awful draft, and for completely failing to adapt to the personnel on his roster. He’s failed in every aspect as a head coach this season and deserves to be fired regardless of the owner being an imbecile.

    • I'm not to sure it's a solid argument to try to estimate what he will do this season, BUT he's had a solid 3 years in the league. Here's his numbers compared to Jewell's for the same time period. I can see the logic of getting a starting MLB for a (at best) WR4. AT, XL and Tmac are certainly our top 3 guys IN 2025. Certainly worth pondering.
    • Training camp just started and it's already starting... https://www.facebook.com/reel/24277303321904901/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v LOL No one believes you and you have fan pages sharing this with a "Play him or trade him" headline. Oh wee mayne. This is why no front offices wanted any part of this.
    • Honestly, it only makes sense if you're trying to chase being the best bad team you can be this year. The number one question we need answered this season is whether or not Bryce is our long-term franchise QB. Trading away a second year WR who was second on the team in catch percentage, first in yards per target, and who clearly outplayed your 1st round pick for a likely one year rental fill in LB is exactly the type of short sighted desperation moves that has made us the worst franchise in the league under Tepper. We gotta stop making these types of moves and just focus on building a good organization and a good roster. Lloyd is a JAG LB another bad team and awful defense is wavering on and a couple of Panthers fans are salivating over him. Oof. We just need to be patient and wait. Definitely make some calls around the league to teams deep at LB and see if there's an opportunity to add one for a late round pick. Definitely shop the waiver wire hard. The reality is that LB is almost certainly going to be a weakness for us this year. We weren't fixing our entire roster in one off-season and we're not fixing an overall weak positional group in late July.  If you trade for Lloyd LB is still a weakness and you've given up a young promising WR who could potentially help you answer the question of whether or not Bryce is that guy. That's bad football business.
