Serious question: what HC candidate in their right mind would want to come here?

You don’t read much when a post doesn’t say what you interpret.

Should Tepper have told people in the building before Frank?

The first tweet had an interim coach and Caldwell’s new role in it. Do you think Tepper went to the media first about the firing or do you think Frank texted his media friends to say he was let go? Seems like he went right from Frank to the other coaches to me.

All you can retort is that I’m defending Tepper and that’s not correct. I was saying you again were wrong in your backing of Fitterer and then Reich. I also said Tepper has done a terrible job at hiring. I and many others wanted Fitterer gone with Rhule. We were right and you were wrong. It happens man. I’m just not throwing Tepper under the bus when the media just wants to roast him instead of Reich who was terrible.

Feel free to tell me how you would have handled the firing differently and how you know Tepper told the media first, which I know you won’t do because you can’t just say Tepper sucks.

The tweet saying that people in the building hadn't been told yet means that yes, the media had it before people who it directly affected were informed.

That's incredibly unprofessional.

The toxic environment that exists around this team is not the fault of anybody except David Tepper. Frankly, it exists in pretty much every enterprise he owns.

He's the problem. But what makes it worse is he thinks he's the hero.

One serious thing to consider for all the people who think no one good will want this job. Tepper has been shown to throw the cash around to get you what you need. He did it with Rhule and he did it with Frank. That is a huge bonus when you feel confident you can get your guys because Tepper makes them an offer they can't refuse.

He fired Rhule to try to salvage the season. I feel like this firing is to try to salvage Bryce.

Not sure Bryce is salvageable, but I agree. I also think Chark disagreeing with the call doesn’t help. Sure makes it seem like Reich was losing the locker room. Players don’t like to be the laughing stock of the league either. Our play disintegrated this year, especially the OL. Wilks gave the team something to believe in and unfortunately Fitt and Reich really botched things.

No idea if Bryce will ever be good enough as I have huge doubts but Reich was certainly not even attempting to make him better and the rest of the team like the OL took big steps back from Wilks and I didn’t want Wilks this year because I know he’s not a SB winning coach (most retreads aren’t).

The bigger question is who's going to tie their career to David Tepper?

Is a young guy whose first opportunity might be his only opportunity going to want to come work for an owner who meddles and then is impatient with the results?

Gotta hope that Tepper has a wake up call and realizes that he is a common denominator.

He swallowed his ego quickly with the Reich hiring.  He clearly wants to win.  Hope he just realizes the best way to do that is to step back and just use his wallet.

Knowing that a slow start with an atrocious roster could get him fired within 11 games. fug you Tepper

Yeah.

I understand Teppers distaste with this season. It's in my mouth too.

Firing him in season doesn't help at all.

Oh well, I have finally accepted the fact I'm watching a poo show.  As much as I would love to stop watching this poo show, I've been here before Tepper.

The list will be long, the job is that much of a rarity.

And, honestly, with Bryce we could end up with a situation like the Jaguars did... new coach, new plan, better ability, and you start to build a guy worth the pick.

And I'm betting that as soon as the offseason hits, we will get Burn's contract nailed down for a mint and then promptly trade him to a team for a mid-round first round draft pick.

Lol. You seriously don’t think Reich didn’t tell anyone as he was leaving?

Also, I can prove your statement is wrong. Did the first tweet/report say that Tabor was interim and that Caldwell would be assisting Brown who had play-calling back? Seems like stop 1 for Tepper after Reich was the other coaches not the media. IMHO, that’s exactly what he should have done. The media did not know before Reich and the coaches. Who are these other people in the building and how do you know that Reich who has lots of ties to media didn’t let people know as soon as he left Tepper’s office?

You keep being you reading only the stuff that you think backs your view point and making huge assumptions to blame only the people you despise because it lets you off the hook of being wrong. Adios Frank!

    • Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired. Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain. In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.
    • Don't let me gas him up too much, but I hear this and that...... I seen a wide body man with a quick burst, that's able to shed blocks and if extends his long arms its over. He tore up the OL in the senior, you seen about 10 plays and the dog walking OLman. There's other plays of him doing the same, just have to deal with fetus talking over the plays. Plus there's this-  https://x.com/PFF_College/status/2018385471068332410?lang=en     I hope he's ready, cause Id like to see him starting and doing his thang with dbrown, nic, and Phillips.
    • I mean there is relevance to that. But I think much of it has to do with the fact that he is clearly likeable. But does that translate to a coach taking his position to the next level like those that have had staying power for many years like Spoelstra? And not for nothing but does how much someone is liked even matter? Across leagues with the Panthers Ron Rivera and Marty Hurney were universally well liked by players. Dave Canales is very well liked. I say you are what your record says. And the record says you got your ass handed to you by a fellow expansion team in the Magic in a game that was over at halftime and that same team went toe to toe with our nemesis who has been handing us L's for over a year now. And if Bam doesn't get his leg swept by LaMelo do we even get past the Heat? Again. It just all boils down to personal standards. I think newer and younger fans will love this. I just want to actually win a real playoff game fam 🤷‍♂️
