“Keep a close eye on Belichik to Carolina”

That's all we need, another Frikkin' Yankee coming down here to "fix" things for us.

Over It Whatever GIF by Rodney Dangerfield

Honestly, why would Belichick come here where the cupboard is bare when he will most likely have his pick of QBs in the upcoming draft since none of the other contenders for the crapfest award will need a new QB.

And honestly, as bad as his team has been for the last couple of years, they have more key players in place than we do.

Bill's not going anywhere and we look as attractive to him as fully awake colonoscopy.

If it means getting rid of Fitt, I'm for it.

I don't doubt Tepper would go all in on a Belichick, O'Brien & Young combo. It would be an entertaining experiment. Young credited O'Brien with his success in college. May be the only shot Young has at success in the NFL.

I would want to take a Walsh-McVay path to a championship team. That wouldn't include Young. Tepper isn't dumping Young. Just like he isn't dumping Hubbard, TMJ, Mingo & Tremble.

I wouldn’t be surprised. What I seen in that press conference yesterday was a man who mentally was like “yeah, you were all right, I’m going to fix it- do we really need to talk about it?”

I think he felt defeated and was trying to be professional by having the press conference but he was just deflecting his way through it to make it as least embarrassing as he could.

I am not going to be surprised one bit if he brings in a HC/GM type or a “President” to run the day to day so he can pull himself somewhat out of the accountability realm and play charity hero instead of football villain.

Gotta love the state of “reporting” these days. Let your imagination run wild, post some scenario you dreamed up while sitting on the toilet in an article behind a paywall. Create a headline that makes people think it’s a real story. Get re-tweeted and shared until the collective conscious believes your toilet fantasies are real.

    • Jack Roslovic: Only 2 other UFA, right-handed centers age 28 or under had more points (39) than him- Sam Bennett (51) and Pius Suter (46). There were 4 other centers age 33 and older who scored more: Gireaux (37), Marchand (37), Tavares (34), Granlund (33).  Unless the Canes go old, if they let Jack walk, they won't get a center who scored more.  Thoughts?
    • nope     This is why we come back every year.  Hope springs eternal
    • It's important to differentiate criticism and hate. I can't speak for that individual you quoted. But most people who have been critical of the Tepper's have been so because both of them have made it a point to put themselves front and center and in the middle of team operations and we have been largely horrific more often than not as a result. If people are making derogatory remarks about her that should be met with an appropriate response but if people are being defensive just because she's being criticized all I can say is people should get used to it. Both her and David would have been getting absolutely skewered by the media and the fans if this were a big market franchise. The Lakers are finally being sold off after years and years of public criticism of Jeannie Buss and even though I'm the furthest you could go from being a Lakers fan just about anyone you could meet who is familiar with the NBA would say the criticism was certainly valid.
