The "LAST TIME" you had true hope/hype coming into the season....

I had a lot of hype for 2008 season. I was living in San Diego at the time and that's when we played against the Chargers in week one. The Chargers were favorites to win the AFC that year I believe or at least to go the AFC championship. I had many of my friends and people here saying that we were going to lose by 10 or more points. That's when Jake pumped faked the camera and Rosario caught that touchdown to end the game. That team turned to be really fun to watch, Double Trouble, Smitty, Davis and Beason on defense, Chris Harris and his hit sticks, J Stewart stiff arming Barber on Monday night (I got to watch that game in class).  

Sucks that the season came to a sad ending with Jake's many interceptions against the Cards.

I will also say this year.  I had my doubts about Bryce but I was really excited about the coaching staff that was assembled.

After they traded to first overall, and hired an "all star coaching staff".

Now, Tepper could build a time machine and get Don Shula, 1987 Jerry Rice, 2007 Tom Brady etc. and I wouldn't care. I learned my lesson.

2019 feels like it would be the obvious one, but I think the real answer is 2016, and everything since then has just felt snake bitten and with a grain of salt.

I had high expectations for 2016. It's been so long since I've seen a good QB wearing a Panthers jersey and playing decent football if you exclude Dalton.

I was talking playoffs before the season. Fun times.

I think we all got hoo doo'd on that one, me included. Now I spend Sundays doing other things besides watching what the Panthers put on display.

This season honestly.  I didn't expect some amazing record but really thought we'd win 5-7 games and show a lot of improvement heading into next year.  Never in my wildest dreams would I think it would be worse than under Rhule.

I went to that first game against the Rams. It was the game where the dude drank like 30 miller lights and it was 100 something degrees. We had that game. I sat first row in the corner of the end zone with a buddy who isn't with us anymore.
