I think that's it. You call it a career and move on to your next profession, or just live out your life in early retirement. I don't want to see him out on the field again in a Panthers, or any uniform. He has to be terrified. Hang it up. Let him stay on IR for the rest of the season and then do an injury settlement or whatever they do in these situations.

his football life is most likely over, he needs to focus on his long term health and I dont know that running in to 250 pound human beings is it.

At thirty? Dude needs to retire. That’s just devastating for him but health comes first. If he’s already getting amnesia it’s time.

Ya, not quite sure how the NFL works in this situation but hopefully there is some way Tepper can just buy his contract out like in hockey and let him retire.

I actually had that after a concussion from football.  In my case, I could not remember what just happened.  I knew people and places, but had no concept of time and I could not process information in my short term memory.  Of course, I turned out just fine and you would all know that if it weren't for being distracted by the recent Kongamato invasion.

Concussions have a cumulative effect - Maybe that hit was the last in a series of head blows that ended up scrambling his memory. If it was me, I would retire.

Same. I had 2 significant ones in 2 weeks during 9th grade football and, after the second one, thought that 'ice cream' was a day and forgot my locker combination, among many other things. It was not a good experience.

That hit really looked brutal, I think it’s just the way the guy hung onto him and was an anchor point that kinda whipped him into the ground
