I made it thru Pickles season and I will make it thru this one. I do admit that I not nearly as invested anymore.

Yeah, at worst I just shake my head and chuckle. At best I have a mildly positive reaction to things that go well.

Pretty much like watching any other random team on a Sunday.

I’ve been other stuff most Sundays since halfway thru last season. I often have to drive to return our nieces who stay with us most weekends to their mom or take them to visit their dad. I would listen to the game on the radio but had to stop cause I was setting a bad language example for them.

I still watch.  When I first moved to North Carolina, on Sundays you'd turn on the tv and be forced to watch the national game or the redskins or dolphins.  Then we got a team and I have seen almost every single game.  My ego isn't caught up in how the team does so I don't care if they win or lose, they are my team.

I don’t watch every play, but this is my mindset. I appreciate having a team, whether we win or not. Obviously, I’m not as emotionally invested at 1-11. I’m watching to appreciate our defense, that continues to play well most weeks, and to look for signs of life from the offense. The thing is, the Panthers don’t usually get blown out, so they keep you hanging on just enough. lol

    • I just don't think some guys have it. Darnold has the panic gene. I don't think there's any fixing it. He looks really good as long as the play develops as drawn up or if he gets pressured immediately and has to go to his check down right away. It's when he has decent protection and his first read isn't open and he's standing back there in the pocket with that panic slowly building. That's when he does disastrous poo.
    • based on the QBs drafted #1 comparison thread, he’s right where he should be. if your expectations were to have a rookie lead us to the playoffs without an OL and WR corps, maybe your expectations were a bit off.
    • at some point, though, you just have to suck it up and accept it and deal with the bad deal you got.  you go through funks where you keep making mistakes and hope that you get it figured out sometime soon, but in the learning process you realize you could have done some things better but you're stuck with decisions you make. you have two choices...whine about it or just brush it off and hope can make the situation you put yourself work. i know a lot of people in here have probably never experienced or dealt with failure much in their lives, but i have and i learned to just suck it up and try to make the best of the situation you've got yourself in because you realize that you're stuck with it for a while. doesn't do any good to keep harping over what you wish you had done better. you already know that. now it's just about moving forward from here and making the best of it and hoping you can make something of it. it's the easiest thing in the world to look at where Bryce falls short...and yes, that was intentional. everyone knows that and all that is done is beating that horse laying on the ground. what takes some work is trying to see how it can work and if they have done and are doing things to help the situation get better.
