Don’t have much as to the football stuff. But the Carolina Hurricanes owner is heavily lobbying to get a MLB expansion in Raleigh. It’ll probably end up going to Nashville though.

Kyle Baileys had Tom Dunden  (Hurricanes owner) as a guest about 2 minutes months ago. He is working on a baseball team but acknowledged it was an uphill battle. Unfortunately he is not as rich as Tepper. I wish he could put an ownership group together and buy the Panthers. He is a class act.

I don't consider SC the Panthers team.

Hell I think a majority of SC fans are fans of other teams anyway. We were an expansion team those SC fans already had teams before us. Hell even most of NC are not even Panthers fans. Just look at our stadium over the past decade. Damn near a 50/50 crowd.

Raleigh will at least show up to the games. We will cheer loud and proud. You will feel the HFA with the rowdy Triangle and other surrounding areas in town. We are the heart n soul of the Carolina's!

@Move the Panthers to Raleigh can I get some pie my brotha!

Ya there is almost no way the next east coast MLB expansion doesn’t land in Nashville. I’m still rooting for Tom though. I’d love it if he starts a “Lady Canes” when the PWHL expands.

I have family in SC none of them are Panthers fans. I'm sure SC has a good chunk of Panthers fans but I'm willing to bet that most of the state are fans of other teams.

Most of NC is also filed with fans of other teams. Raleigh is not some mythical place filled with endless amounts of Panthers fans, its just like the rest of the Carolinas. You guys have your fair share of fans of the Cowboys, the Steelers, and the other popular teams just like the rest of us.

I understand wanting the team closer to you, but dont make poo up.

I don't think the rest of the owners would approve a move.  The team makes too much money.  The NFL is pretty heavy in profit sharing so it would be silly for them to approve a move.

When have the owners denied it move?

If the Panthers don't move, it's because potetial locations cannot support a team as well as Charlotte can

That doesn't mean anything,  my family in North Carolina are Dallas and and which ever team is good fans , we don't have the tradition and history to inspire much loyalty(apperantly , that's what I'm told when I call them on it)

But the SC flag used to fly over Charlotte, Mr Richardson intended the Panthers to represent both states, that's why they are Called Carolina Panthers and not North Carolina Panthers , and he held training camp in Wofford

Teppo the clown tore that down also, and it might not be long untill we are the Quebec or Toronto Panthers

Moving the Panthers to Rawlee is an all-time poo take.

As much as I would like a move to Rawlee to happen I agree. I live in Mebane in Alamance County. 80% of Alamance County is considered part of the Triad. 20% of Mebane is considered part of the Triangle. If you look at the most populated counties in NC it appears to me that the western part of the state has more population. You have to look at the upstate of SC and their proximity to Charlotte as well. When you go east of I-95 it is very rural. Greenville, Wilmington, Rocky Mount, and a few more. I do think Raleigh’s time will come for something big sports wise in due time. Fayetteville is only about an hour and a half to Raleigh, 70 miles or so. The counties around Wake are exploding, but Charlotte is still #1.

And you are a Ravens fan.

So move to an area in NC with less interest and population. Genius

Same. My family is all Atlanta fans. I'm also a member on the Clemson rivals.com website and at max 5 of the members are Panthers fans. The rest of the board are Falcons fans / Washington fans. They absolutely HATE the Panthers / Charlotte / Tepper.

    • Poster board? Were you trying to use the term poster child?
    • I mean, you're acting like we don't see the tippy-toe bunny hops, jump throws more than normal (with both feet dangling in the air every which a way), and off-platform but off-balance throws that arrive short or sail high. Could that be bad mechanics due to being short? Could a seeming propensity to bail the pocket towards the sidelines early as opposed to sitting in the pocket tall and strong, surveying his reads, be an attempt at trying to see an open throwing lane? I'm not saying that what you're saying isn't a contributing factor to what has been an underwhelming display of executing the QB position, but this is year three, and if the lightbulb hasn't switched on by now---if you haven't figured out that guys are faster, stronger and generally more athletic, then what's it going to take? It's hard to forget that "mental processing" was supposed to be Bryce Young's superpower. Are you telling me that he can't nail down such an easy concept as, "I can't get away with the things I did in college at the pro level," is that right? If he can't get past that, then that surely limits his ability to successfully execute all the other stuff.  Look, I'm not trying to be flippant. I acknowledge that playing pro football is more complex than a lot of fans realize, but all we can do, as fans, is observe. One of my favorite things to do is just look at the greater picture and think what part human nature is playing in the many decisions that are being made or have to be made. You're absolutely correct that fans don't know exactly what's going on, but that is by design, and in many ways it's just the nature of the beast. Some things we can't know. That being said, the professionals screw the hell up all the time. The professionals disagree all the time. These disagreements can be within the same franchise or from franchise to franchise. And sometimes these decisions are all over the place, so excuse me if I ain't exactly buying the I-know-more-than-thee sentiment and that that means that professionals always make better decisions than fans would about certain players. Some of this stuff is simply luck or a crapshoot.
