Eh, this doesn’t sound definitive. I wouldn’t personally get as hung up on that part as I would the parts where she says he might not keep his job and “Carolina could be starting anew”.  
 

Plus as I put in another thread; Schefter is reporting that Tepper is using a hiring firm and that his sources believe Scott is likely out. It’s not a source off, but they’re saying similar things. 
 

So without getting caught up on a few word differences here and there the reporting for the past few weeks whether it’s locally or nationally has implied that Scott is likely on his way out, which is the important part.

I respect Russini a lot, especially after her expose of tepper, but this is either worded incredibly poorly or flat wrong

Could be true, but it's a "sense around the league" which means they basically would be surprised and they've got a feeling but they've got nothing definitive to base it on.

Just like there's a sense around the huddle that Tepper is going to find some way to fug it up again. That's probably true as well, but we've got to wait and see.

2 more days and Tepper is about to nuke any hope of a future that holds watchable Panther football. For a guy that had balls on his desk he sure can't find any to admit his mistakes and not keep them round to make new ones.

Is hiring a coach before hiring a permanent GM a new thing or is that just something Tepper keeps trying? It seems like letting a GM hire a coach has never been discussed as an option in the Tepper era.

It's basically an article saying that sense around the league is that David Tepper runs his franchise like a fuging moron and sense around the league in this case is spot on.

It lands to the idea that Fitterer will be moved to a non-personnel role within the team structure.

Russini does still allow for the possibility though that he will just be fired.

I wouldnt worry about this at the moment. If Fitt stays, it is unlikley to be as GM. It seems that Tepper may be learning (slowly).

Keeping Hurney would have been miles better than his choice of Scott Fitterer.
