Burrow/Herbert/Lawrence

Yeah I admit I should have left Burrow off this list. My point was more about the most hyped QBs not making the playoffs.

Lawrence wasn't that hyped even that much in fantasy circles. He ranged between 8-12 of the starting QBs. His hype was more around the potential of the Ridley, Kirk, Ingram trio than his ability as a QB.

It's not. They don't even have a real fanbase. Watch their home games it's honestly more pathetic than our home games.

The Bears are the best situation as they have the #1 pick and another top 10 pick.

The Texans were viewed as the worst situation last off-season and how did that work out for them?

You just can't look at names on paper. The Chargers are a paper champ team. If Herbert has all that talent around and he can't get you to the playoffs?

Make it makes sense!

A new HC doesn’t prioritize fans.  If you win, fans come.

the Bears haven’t fired their HC yet.  That’s why they aren’t tops on the list right now

Chargers have a significantly better roster for a new HC vs the horrific Panthers.  Better than the Raiders too

Lawerence pretty much picked up where he left off last year until the injuries started.  The more injuries, the more his accuracy struggled.  Knee, ankle, and finished with a shoulder.  Add in the concussion.

But yeah, he wasn’t getting absurd national hype.  People rightfully noted a greatly improved postseason year 2 and new weapons coming in this year.  It’s a small market not that much different than Carolina.  Trevor isn’t going to get crazy hype unless the Jags are deserving to be paid attention to.

The 3 golden boys of the NFL. All 3 no playoffs.

This league is open for grabs. It's no longer just Mahomes and everybody else. These going QBs like Stroud/Love are leading their team to the playoffs in their 1st season.

Maybe the NFL can stop hyping these same 3 QBs. This league is in good hands at the QB position. I just hope one day we can have our own franchise QB.

SMH. All 3 were hurt this year and all 3 were playoff QBs last year. 2 of the 3 had above .500 seasons. There’s no one in here that wouldn’t take any of the 3 over Young and most others.

Also, LOL at Love leading GB to the playoffs in his first year.

Again if the Chargers have all this great talent why are they not in the playoffs?

You selling me on paper. I just don't see the hype.

I'm legit confused to your point.

You just called me a racist for no apparent reason.

I would say you’re either completely full of it and haven’t watched much commentating this season OR you’re a little biased when it comes to certain players getting media attention. Seeing as how they haven’t really discussed Herbert much at all, Burrow played injured all season, and Jax missed the playoffs by 1 game because they were in the most competitive division in football.

I don’t agree with the premise. I think Justin Fields and Brock Purdy get more media coverage than TLaw. I don’t think this year is indicative of their future. They’ll be around a while and have more good years. I’d feel much better about our situation if we had one of those guys.

Bryce will be ok at QB.  Needs to increase over all strength.  He learned alot this year.  He got pummeled all year bounced back up each time.  The team is a dumpster fire he was called to lead.  I want to see how he does with a decent team.

No he won’t. He sucks.

All three of those guys are very good and will bounce back next season. Lawrence played injured a huge portion and probably shouldn't have been on the field but I'm willing to bet he lights it up next season along with Burrow and Herbert. Mahomes will of course be a bad ass as usual and unless Stroud is a one hit wonder, he will continue looking great. I sure wish we could get a QB that was a tough gun slinger. God I miss bad ass 2015 Cam

Herbert is interesting, has all the tools, looks great, but doesn’t win. Can’t put my finger on why, but he’s not a winner for some reason.

Coaching/culture is the issue with Hebert. Coaching changed how Tua is viewed.

I remember a few posters suggested we trade for Jordan Love in the off-season. I also remember people laughing at that idea.

Lawrence is the QB to whom most people compared Bryce’s rookie season. Well 3 seasons in he hasn’t been all that great himself.

After today, Lawrence was a one hit wonder. He cant carry that team. But keep comparing

    • Yep. It was an obvious red flag that a lot of people ignored. The results/scores in preseason don’t matter, but individual performance very much does and individually, we looked like the least talented team in the league and it carried over.
    • Sorry, but in 2015, we didn’t look like poo to the extent of 2023. People who said it’s just preseason were completely wrong. Simple as that. 2015 was a veteran lead team. It was Cam’s 5th year and Luke’s 4th. Even our OL was 80% the same (added Oher) as the great run to finish 2014 with a playoff win. That year can be labeled as preseason doesn’t matter because I’m sure we rested vets and well, Ron/Mike weren’t putting in special plays, etc. I absolutely don’t recall a bunch of us saying that Turner was getting killed on one on ones or that Luke was completely out of position or that Norman was hurt again but probably fine. The only thing that was right about the 2023 preseason is that the minority of us who saw it, were correct that we A) should have been making Young and others play 100% of the reps as there was nothing to hide and B) the preseason means nothing was a bunch of BS trying to stay optimistic when it was obvious that we had way less good talent than the rest of the NFL.
    • You are telling me Paul Maurice is a better coach than Rod??? Yes!!!  It’s because he plays a better system and has a better goalie.   Our system sucks in playoffs and he refuses to roll with Koochie. Dallas cowboys level poo
