Bengals would be silly to lose him for nothing, always thought this was a possibility. Micahel Pittman is a more realistic target imo as I can forsee Indy making a big trade for Brandon Aiyuk

I would be fine with Boyd and a guy in the draft. I mean if the scheme is going to be different like everyone has been saying that is going to open these guys up a lot. 
 

I really wouldn’t mind spending on a real pass catching TE.

Yeah, Bryce probably ain't it. That's why sinking HUGE $$$ into a 29 year old DL makes zero sense.

It doesn't matter who we sign Bryce doesn't have the arm talent to take us anywhere.

 

I'm just trying to be competitive and signing Jones would give us a legit chance to have the best defense in football.

 

Bryce wouldn't be asked to score much and just manage the game. If he can't be a game manager then there is no need for us to continue with him as QB after the 24-25 season.

It's not crazy to say he will go to the highest bidder. Hell for s defensive player we are probably a good destination for him. Evero one of the better DC's in football. He might view himself as a great piece to the this defense. He's also playing with another great Dlineman who will take away some of the double teams.

 

Jones is absolutely going to the highest bidder. He's made it known no discounts. This his last big contract.

Ok..... here's something to consider. Why the hell would we want to be the highest bidder? I can't think of a bigger mistake...going all in on ANYBODY at this point.

We don't need to be throwing all our money at one or two players under the impression that it will make us competitive next year.

As exciting as it would be to make a big splash, isn't that what we've been trying to do the last few years? And how has it worked out..

We have to use all our resources to rebuild the team. A team isn't made up of one or two big stars . It's made up of a bunch of Joe's who are decent players...not stars, just decent players who can do what they're told.

We don't even have that kind of team. We have do do the boring route. We have to use all our money on bringing in average Joe's who are decent players who can do what they're told.

Throwing all our chips in to get a Chris Jones won't help us build the team.

This fanbase is sad. Every year "we don't need elite players."

You're asking why we would want a elite defensive player. My response is look at our roster are we in position to turn down elite players I think not.

 

Every year it's a rebuild. Well damn how long will the rebuild last? We need talent on this team. Jones is one of the best defensive players in football. 

I guess signing 3rd wave FA's are the Panthers way now.

Jones is a winner. Why would he want to come here and lose?  Almighty dollar?  Nah he got his pick of destination.  One where can win and make money. Bengals, Ravens, Texans, and Bears etc.  We need to draft our own Jones.
