Y’all just gotta accept this is a full tear down rebuild that should’ve happened 4-5 years ago. It’s going to be 2-3 years minimum to put a competitive roster on the field

Yep and look at next years QB class… it’s not good

I know they’re not but good lord they needed to do their homework on this years class. I’d take a QB at 33 and not think twice if someone falls

If Bryce didn’t look like absolute dog sh!t last year we wouldn’t be going full blown rebuild and taking on these crazy dead money hits

So they know Bryce ain’t it but will they actually take a swing at 33? I doubt it. Probably build an OL and get ready for next QB

Free agency just started up today. Only one person from that list had a good year and we just added a top 3 guard in the league. I get being upset about what we got in return for Burns, but we are truly rebuilding this team. We can sign many more people with burns off the books. We had a couple good players from that 2 win team; and Luvu was the only one I cared about if he stayed.

Im not mad if we totally focus on rebuilding the offense year one. It’s needed and we have the smart portion of FA and the draft to go.

The Burns trade was just the Sweat trade with an extra 5th. Both are similar players.

I think that we can see baby steps this season, a semblance of improvement in 2025, and then be competitive by 2026 and legit by 2027. That's my reasonable expectation.

Did any of that sound like a solid foundation to build upon? Not IMO.

What will hurt is what they do next. All of this is just yesterday's pain.

CMC, DJ Moore, and Brian Burns are all pro bowl players who I’d love to have on my team with a rookie QB.

We now have the rookie QB with none of those players. How this team managed to fug that up is mind boggling.

    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
    • Maybe faked was too strong of a word.  "Milked" may be the better way to call it.
