No one is asking for rose colored glasses. Just accurate statements please.  Like I’ve already said there is plenty to critique with Bryce let’s not make up any additional ammo.

I’m all for waiting and seeing. He either progresses or leads up to his replacement. As long as we keep that 25 first round pick there will be some sort of light at the end of the tunnel.

Well if you're looking for accurate statments. I'd say after one of the most disastrous rookie QB seasons ever seeing Bryce Young look pretty much physically the same after gutting the defense and shelling out well over 100 million dollars to beef up the offensive line it would more than qualify as an accurate statement to say that's not exactly encouraging.

Looks like I might be getting an early start on that 2025 QB class after all.

Great Job Reaction GIF

In the 2025 class I’m looking to see how Ewers plays without his top weapons, how Sanders (my current favorite) plays with a better OL, and how Leonard looks with better talent around him at Notre Dame. It will be an interesting year.

    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
    • Ha-ha, I bet that went through everyone's mind.  Admittedly I don't read all the comments in a thread before I make a post. Great minds think alike!
    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
