Lol. A bit of tension in that room

meh... i dont read too much into that. A coach and a GM are not always going to agree on players. Do we know that Fitt DIDNT offer him a contract?

At the very least, he would’ve had to OK the deal. I can’t imagine we would’ve signed of running back if the running back coach didn’t like him.

I think Fitterer simply signed the biggest names he could at WR and RB to sell to the fanbase…….to try to mask how bad his CMC and Moore trades were.

Coming off the Rhule nightmare and then trading away our best 2 players….he had felt obligated to throw names at us to lessen the blowback.   And it worked. All star coach narrative throwing random coaches together.  They falsely claimed Miles was a 3 down RB despite Philly parting with him because he wasn’t, etc

Good Lord, did Fitterer make ANY good decisions?  Everything he touched went straight to poo.

Can't use the Fhule excuse now, dumbass.

13 month old tweet we already discussed last year.

They're both gone now.

Yes I realized that after I posted it

no idea why it showed up in my feed today

regardless I believe it further shows the disconnects in the front office   I don’t recall seeing this specific comment from Duece either

This happens all the time across the NFL, not hard to imagine whatsoever.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
