TBH, I thought they would go CB or C. Frazier and the kid from Oregon was still on the board.

Even still, Cooper Dejean was available. This kid was ranked 8th on PFF's draft board and is literally exactly what you want at CB if you run a heavy zone scheme like Evero runs.

Really looks like they are just trying to mimic DK Metcalf from Seattle's offense with the Legette selection.

Well I guess they just did the swap of the 5th and 6th to get the 5th te option. 5th and 6th rd are crapshoots so it seems fine. Legette scares the heck out of me with his bust potential. I was hoping for McDonkey there because I think there’s no way he fails even if his upside isn’t as high, but I guess they felt his skill set was redundant with Dionte Johnson on the roster. One thing is that Legette definitely stretched the field more in college and that is something we needed.

Blown away by the 49ers knowing their WRs & watching again as the Panthers show they have no clue on how to pick WRs.

Marshall, Mingo & Legette... tired of this nonsense. None of them pair well with Young's game style. Clearly Fitterer rubbed off on Morgan. You don't trade up for these WRs. You trade down to gain draft capital & take these projects if they are still there. Hope I'm wrong like I hoped with Marshall & Mingo.

    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
    • Dude he didnt play in pre season.....  he didnt practice at all with the team until the end of October.    I do agree though.
    • Bryce had a hand in the Miami win but not nearly as large of one as Rico and he also had the extra burden of being a big reason we were in the hole in the first place. If we get a winning season he is definitely back for next year though.
