MAJOR HOLDOUT UPDATE………

I hope we bring in some kicker off the couch who just absolutely kills it.

I mean, I get a guy wanting to get paid his worth. But there are VERY few kickers with actual leverage in this league. He ain't one of them. Pretty much no kicker on one of the worst rosters in the league is one of them.  You might make a kick or two that fugs up our draft position. Get lost. LOL

At the end of the day, most NFL kickers can be great if they never have to make clutch kicks. When your team is complete ass there are no clutch kicks.

Let him go to a contender and we'll find out how good he really is

I feel uneasy with a kicker who’s feeling undervalued, I feel like that brings in a whole new kind of mind goblin that could plague his game.

Also he is def not worth it. I can’t think of many who would be. He’d need a huge leg and accuracy, I don’t think he’s done anything from 55 plus

Yeah, there is something ominous underlying all of this that portends HOF for Eddie.

Thanks to Eddy for his contributions, but his clutch kick misses and inability to be trusted with 53+ yarders doesn't warrant security or an extension...  especially when you have a rookie in camp who isn't missing anything and nailing kicks from 60 on the regular.

I honestly wish they would just tell Eddy to kick rocks prior to camp so we can move on.

Maybe he should go and I don't mind going with the new kid, but his only clutch miss last year was a single 60 yarder.  And if memory serves, he only had three situations that would be defined as clutch kicks, and he made two of them.  And he was actually 5 of 7 from 50 plus with a 54 and a 56 yarder.  He was definitely in the top half of the NFL in terms of long range kicks.  His kicking was probably one of the few decent spots on the team last year.

    • Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"
    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
