I genuinely thought he'd be blacklisted from the NFL.

Well, it will be a long time before he gets a team to run but he can work.

To the right person, having people that have been where you are is good because a guy who has been boss at least understands more about that than people who haven't, and will have that sort of respect for the person in that position. And probably be able to help him.

edit: that’s my personal perspective. I was an employee a long time then graduated into bossdom, after some years of doing that was an employee again and I can tell you I am a much better employee than I was before getting the boss experience.

I was only a boss of smaller non corporate stuff, not trying to brag.

I'm a Daniels fan.  They made a really promising swing at QB.  Also think they got great value in Newton at DT and then Sainristil and Sinnott.  Solid solid draft.

There's good pieces, but if I was a fan, missing the coaching hire along with the shear amount of former-Panthers they've brought in would make me nervous.  There's no disputing we've been the real cellar of the league for a minute now so why reunite so many from that regime?

They've also had some shaky picks (Forbes, Allen, Dotson, etc.)...just a real roller coaster there.

CMC and DJ Moore are doing well in their new teams. Maybe they are banking on our old staff not knowing how to use players correctly?

As for the GMs…. I got nothing.

Fitterer was not a good GM during his time here but he's served under successful front offices before, doesn't mean he's a bad hire.

I think Fittterer ultimately will be judged for mishandling the Burns situation. The draft selections are impossible to know how much Rhule and Tepper played a hand in

What I think happened that really polluted stuff was Tepper pushing HARD to get their franchise QB at any cost - it just has to happen NOW.  No patience. Forcing things rarely works out.

I mean I think that was Tepper. I don’t know anything I just interpret the doings that way.

    • Yeah I think he's just talking continuity it's not really an endorsement. Also I would think CarolinaHuddle of all places would understand using "we" for the team you follow. I can't STAND when dorks do the "Oh so you play for them then? Hurr hurr"
    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
