I'm not worried about the QB right now. If he plays, great. If not... I get it. Would rather see Bryce out there a few drives but I understand why they don't want to risk it yet.

I really want to see the starting oline against the Jets starters. I want to see Carolinas starting dline stop the run and create pressure. Also want to see some WRs run after the catch. I know y'all ain't gone like this, but the only player that juked a guy in the open field last year was the QB.

Hot take: wide receivers used to be smaller and shifty players for a reason. I prefer a Stefon Diggs over DK.

I am not sure I believe that but good that he juked somebody. I remember it, not what game but I saw it. I’m sure I muttered damn he sucks...

Yeah, get the mules that do the real work, a good test.

I really don’t care a lot about the skill guys, too many hamstrings already, but this could be a reason I want the 1st team:

I thought the skip or hitch was gone from Young’s routine. If I saw right, that needs to be confirmed. When he has to have the play, like for the win, or is in a pressure moment, we need to see that because that is when people revert to their comfort zone, relative to trotting out rebuilt fundamentals and mechanics.

Athletes, musicians, whoever else needs a repeatable result from their technique, struggle with it. It’s hard.

And those of us who have attempted to rebuild something that you can already make work, you have to regress and the thinking comes back in and it is a job to get all the way there and trust it.

So let’s see it.

I think Mingo had a juke during the game against Houston but I can't remember another player/time all season. They'd just catch and fall or run out of bounds.

Hopefully Bryce has cleaned some things up. But honestly no one will care if he's completing passes. I'm more concerned with him staying aggressive and continuing to take shots downfield.

Hoping to see everybody make it out of the game healthy, first and foremost. Some of the position groups are already having their depth tested due to injury (EDGE, CB, OL).

Looking to see guys execute and win match ups. I especially want to see rookies and backups alike play with a little more consistency like Canales is asking for.

Those mechanics though, he needs them right. I look and I believe he needs to use more effort than those strapping dudes with the big arms. To get the same results. And then the more effort you are using the easier it is for those mechanics to break down.

I guess it is a long way of saying I don’t think he has a lot of margin for error and it needs to be right. So I hope it is, and let’s see it it.

    • He's handing off play calling duties to fuging Brad Idzik as well so, either that mouth breather can run the playbook and Canales can grow as an all around head coach or it will be a horrible decision and both of them and BY can screw off. I'm fine with that as long as it isn't just another excuse for BY to get another year with another coach worthy of working around his limitations as a qb.
    • Not only for Andersen but the whole team, having not beat the Habs this season before tonite.  Shows them that they aren't jinxed.
    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
