How many times do I have to tell you that there is a difference between NCAA and NFL football?

His 2 way ability is something you just don't see anymore, so yea, when you can play both ways at a high level, it's going to likely make you the best player in the nation.  That doesn't mean the same player has to then be considered the top player in the draft, not by any means.  Just look at the numbers of Heisman winners who were drafted low and/or never had decent NFL careers.

You're stuck on him being this generational NCAA talent and think that makes him the #1 WR, when in reality it's his 2nd best position, when combined with his size, makes him a better CB prospect than a WR.

And even beyond that, it's not like I've ever said he's undraftable or even a mid round pick, I've said he's still likely a 1st rounder as WR, but just the 3rd best WR, not one of the Top 2 because there are 2 better WR prospects.

The fact that you can't or won't see this argument and just take anything I say as attacking Hunter or saying he's awful, is YOU making it personal, not me, like you love to claim.

I've said it before, he's more Reggie Bush, a generational college talent but someone who's game doesn't translate the same way to the NFL, than a Charles Woodson, a 2 way talent who was also ended up a 1st ballot HOFer.

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
