I think both things can be be true.  With Derrick Brown out for the year, we're not getting much push by DL in passing downs.  Evero's adjustment seems to  be to rely more on scheme and coverage.  I think even if he has time, Caleb will be forced to make the short to intermediate throws.  Carolina will be looking to eliminate any big play opportunities and won't blitz much.

Then again, they may choose to blitz more since Caleb is a rookie. Should be a good matchup on Sunday.

I don't really know what to expect, the middle of the line is a mess so anything can happen. If I was Carolina, I would definitely be sending blitzers to confuse the center and guards. They have not done well blocking stunts.

Yep. Evero is gonna have to scheme pressure and confuse the rookie QB with pre vs post snap reads.

We're winning this week.  We won't have many wins, but this week will be one of them.

If shaq, dbrown, fuller, turlte, jewell, where healthy id agree. Theres just isnt depth to replace those average(not brown) starters. Its a major down grade.

Does anyone know rookie QBs vs evero record is??

I feel that the only way panthers pull this out, the bears have very good defense that silent. They are better than chargers and bungals....it comes down to evero vs williams.

Not really. There is 'any given Sunday' for sure but there are games teams should lose or win given the matchups. Parady has fixed a lot of that IMO but it still exist when there are extreme cases of failure. If Dalton wasn't starting even this game would be one of those games IMO looking at the matchups.

Good point about no Dalton

Finally back online after 8 days with no power, trees downed all around the house, but thankfully none hit us, feel really fortunate, so many more lost so much more, parts of Asheville are an absolute disaster, I have no idea how the outside media is playing this, but it's awful

Missed last week's game, but found out Monday we took the L

Hoping for a better day today

    • I just think the entire organization is inept and continues to make horrible decisions. I have no confidence in them to handle this situation correctly. It would not surprise me one bit if he’s starting again next year.
    • I haven't watched football since Week 1 and I thought I was just loosing interest in the sport, but watching the games yesterday was awesome and I would take every QB that played yesterday, and their backup over Bryce. Its visually pleasing to watch a QB drop back, make a read and fire the ball down the field and make a throw less than 100 humans on Earth can make, even if the rest of the team is ass.  Its demoralizing as a fan to know the QB of the team literally can't physically do the job and the team continues to troll him out there week after week, and there is talk of picking up his 5th year option? I honestly don't know how people continue to watch this. When they flashed the 'Rams vs Panthers' graphic on the screen I physically cringed at the idea of watching BY struggle to rack up 150 yards for 3 hours. This guy actually made me stop watching football holy poo
    • 3 years to figure it out and the answer has been the same every time.  Think they will try a different solution? Bryce and Andy lol. I hope so but it is hard to have any faith in them to do that.  The Cam stuff, I don’t think anyone is talking about that thinking he is a solution for 2026. Just wishing we had some of his ability at the position now.
