Yup.  If not Nico, another stud.  A deep class in '26. This year, it's Ward, Ewers and a bunch of question marks.  At best it's a draft to take a late round flyer to develop a QB3.

Yeah I think we take a late round raw prospect this year and sign a bridge FA. Just keep building this bad roster in the draft. If Allar enters the draft (I doubt he will) I wouldn’t be against taking him in rounds 2/3.

Bro loves a backpack.

You trying to tell me that’s 200 lbs.

I’ll give him 172 at best.

The damn backpack kills me. You would think being the #1 overall pick in the league you’d maybe consult a PR guy or two about making sure your appearance is on point for public photos and videos. But this is more evidence that he just doesn’t care. He got his money and seems way happier and relaxed on the bench than he ever did starting. He’s a beta boy and in no way has the makeup to be a franchise QB.

The #1 draft pick is supposed to want to eat their opponents liver and beat their brains in. We get smiley backpack Netflix and video game kid. He could go to the mall in any state not NC, SC or AL and go almost completely unrecognized.

Biggest heist of all time. The worst trade of all time. Biggest bust of all time. Nice trifecta. Go Panthers.

    • Yes, it tells me they’ve improved significantly from sitting at what, 30-31st in the league on the PP to 11th now.
    • I wanted someone to hire him so we got the picks, but I'm also not upset that he'll now be back. I genuinely don't understand why so many fans on here dislike him so much.  No, he's not perfect and made some mistakes this year, especially at the end of the playoff game and going so soft in coverage on the final drive. But considering this place torched him all offseason for us having the "worst defense in NFL history" last year.  Said in the whole pre-draft process how we had to go defense in round 1 because of it and then complained the rest of the offseason that we didn't do enough to improve the defensive roster. How do people say all that about the defense and then complain when he turned that same unit into a pretty respectable defense this year.  They were really the only reason we were in a lot of games for most of the season, as the middle part of the season they really stepped up and were playing like one of the better defenses in the league. I don't see any reason we can't improve even more next year if we spend another offseason focusing on adding pieces on that side of the ball, which we should be able to do with our draft picks and cap space.
