2025 Mock Drafts

I love that little mock draft tool, but it's definitely flawed. Savion Williams consistently drops to the 6th/7th when I do it, and he's likely a day 2 pick. Mike Green is the same.

If the Rams keep playing well, I could definitely see us trading back if the price is right. Would definitely come off of pick 8 and pick 60 (hypothetically) For something like pick 15 and pick 45.

Not to mention those 6th and 7th round picks are going to mean a lot more for us than they will other teams. Our roster stinks and needs NFL quality players, especially on defense. I definitely could see us trading back and acquiring more picks. All three of our specialists are free agents as well.

1st: Walker is too good to pass up here.  And I’m sure by the the time combine and pro days are up.  Your going to be hearing his name as a top 10 lock.  Walker is a hybrid LB/Edge guy.  But we’ll just call him a defensive weapon.  He is the ultimate chess piece for Evero in his front 7.  And fills a role that Evero loves/vital part of his defense.  We saw Frankie Luvu thrive and takeoff in this role which left a void when he went to Washington.  Baron Browning played this spot in Denver as well.

2nd: Watts- our safety room some could argue was the worst in the entire NFL this year.  And every single one of them are hitting FA this year.  So I expect a full overhaul at a position Evero LOVES in his defense (plays a lot of 3-3-5 with 3 safeties).  Watts is an extremely high IQ, overall well rounded Safety.  And one of the best in coverage the past few years.  Pairing him with a Holland in FA, and you’ll see this secondary do a 180 turn.

3rd: Jared Wilson- a name you aren’t hearing now but get familiar with him now.  Wilson is the top Center in the draft class.  An extremely athletic mauler.  Who only started for 1 year at Georgia.  He graded out as the top Center in CFB and is expected to really show off in workouts.  He is graded around late 2nd early 3rd due to his lack of positional flexibility, many believe he will be strictly a Center at the next level.  Wilson fills a giant need on this team no one is talking about.  As we have no Centers under contract for next year.  And have heard all the reports of how our FO values the importance of the OL in particular in the middle having the smaller QB (see the big Guard contracts last offseason). Another fun fact, like Walker, Wilson is a NC kid, growing up in Winston Salem.

Mike Green going in the 1st

Same with Matthew Golden

I've heard his name pop up in top 10, legit......   Mike Green that is. One guy I listen said he would kill the combine and he had 17 sacks and half came against draft-level talent....

I've also heard this is biggest difference in ranking in like 20 some years. Teams have guys listed as top 10 and others have third round grades on the same player. It's crazy, no one has the same top 10 or even close. Huge difference on many players. This will be a wild ride on draft day.

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
