With the first pick, don't draft a QB? Draft a DE? C'mon!

Texans and Commanders made it work. You need a good OL (which we have) and some weapons. We need to keep developing XL, Coker, JT, and Brooks to have some weapons. I wouldn’t mind reuniting DC with Godwin if the price is right ( yeah I know he is coming off an injury) It’s Moton’s last year so use it to help get a young QB comfortable. All of this is assuming there is one we like a lot.

By the time everybody is ready to draft another QB our offensive line will be garbage again and receiving core empty.

Right now it's the best its been in YEARS even the superbowl run. but no...lets get a mediocre vet to put back there to do the bare mininum and hold back the offense.

WE LOVE TO DO THINGS BACKWARDS.

He will not have all that time to stand in the pocket and find wide open receivers in the nfl. I need to see him under pressure before I'm a believer that he has what it takes in the nfl. I still say there's not a qb in this draft worth the first overall pick.

Agree about ward, he spends a lot of time with the ball in his hands. Weak class over all but if it's gotta be a QB, I would take Sanders first. Much more of a pocket passing player.

I'm not sold on him either. On top of that his dad is toxic and I do not want him anywhere near Tepper. If you think it's a circus now you haven't seen anything until you have Dion in Teppers ear influencing his decisions.

The way we are playing Defense who even knows if Evero is retained or if we swap back to a 3-4. Williams, Pearce, and Carter are the only edges people talk about being in the top 10 but none are being mentioned #1 and there is a reason for that. If you want to trade down and take one at 4-6 go for it, but not at 1.

I’m over this 3-4 nonsense. It’s awful against the run

I'd go with that WR from Arizona, can't think of his name though

I really dont want to draft another wide receiver within the first 2 rounds again. That would be like 4 years in a row or something. At some point we gotta realize it just isn't working. I mean if we gonna do that again we shouldn't have any problem drafting another qb.

Aside from the 2 qb's and Travis Hunter who would you even entertain as our top choice? I don't think theres a legit game changing pass rusher, that's the only other position besides QB I feel like would be worthy of a top pick. I don't want to trade back with these morons running the show. Just keep taking qb's high until you luck out, that's the only way this crew is going to find any success.

The guys saying dont take a QB will be the same ones complaining that we arent competitive.

You have a #1 overall pick with Bust Young as your only QB, you have to at least take a hard look at them.

We either have a rookie QB or a journeyman, no way can we go into another season touting Bust as the starter.

He played very well when Florida blitzed him. This was a similar conversation scouts had about Stroud though (how he handled pressure). Schemes and coaching can help players get better under pressure. I’d love a QB who plays great when there isn’t pressure to begin with.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
