Would be cool if Canales uses Brooks and Chubba like how Detroit runs their offense through Gibbs and Montgomery.

Im not an expert by any means on the type of running backs gibbs/mont are vs chuba/brooks, but i don’t think either has the speed gibbs has. Mont is also bigger in size (weight) i believe. Meaning i don’t think we have the same style backs as their two headed monster. I could be all wrong here in saying that.

Agreed. More-so in a sense of really running/pounding the ball with two quality backs to wear down opposing defenses and setting up the pass.

This. It's not like we've got anything to gain by rushing him onto the field.

Seems like they are doing that, which is why he is still not playing. I do want to see him.

Gotta make sure he isn't glass ahead of next season and really even the trade deadline.  For him, gotta have him get hit and hopefully see that his repaired knee is right so he can play freely without fear.

Packages. Get him in a couple.

I mean, we’re talking about a running back. Not a linebacker, QB, corner…

Sure his conditioning will take time to catch up and his body will have to get used to being walloped over and over, but from a skill standpoint I imagine running backs are the easiest to plug and play.

don’t be surprised if and when he comes in that he has plenty of juice and speed that’ll be really promising

I have had him sitting in my Fantasy Football IR slot all season. Doubt it was worth it, but I am a homer.

Me too. Luckily, haven’t needed it for anyone else yet. Figured what the heck since Hubbard was looking decent. I’ll likely never start him as RB is my strength unless he looks like Hubbard on steroids.

still a LONG time since he has played football.  None at NFL speed.  I still wouldn't rush him into a NFL pounding.  I'd probably prefer him see a couple full weeks of practice first.

He'll have to be activated to the 53 so it will start with small drips.  No doubt they should be careful, but that's why he's nearing ready now and not at the start of season (the timeline that Brooks' team and himself thought was best case scenario)

Sooo next year then?

I'd give him some weeks in real NFL practice.  Getting used to things/speed/etc and back in the feel of football.

I'd probably prefer to trot him out after the bye week (pending the rest of the RB is healthy) .  That would still be 7 games and near half a season of play.  In such a pointless season, I hate to not take your time to setup him for success.

I was thinking post bye week too but maybe they dip his toe in the water first to get a little taste.

    • Ok.  I see that signs may not obstruct others view.  That seems to be a pretty large sign, and since they are in the front, if they were to hold it up, I feel it would obstruct others view. I don't see the point in holding the sign in their laps. If I were in securities shoes, I would just tell them to put it up, so that I don't have to keep a constant eye on them because not everyone listens and will just wait until I turn my back to raise the sign again.  I see no point in holding a sign on your lap where it can not be seen unless you are just waiting to break the rules again. The amount of time they have "gotten away" with this is still irrelevant.  For all we know, someone complained they could not see because of the sign.
    • Cows fan with just some info.      Some good points from y'all but some that are poorly thought out too.   Dallas played the last game (Jets, 0-4) with 4 OL starters out, Cee Dee Lamb out, #3 WR Kavontae Turpin out (he's also the League's #1 returner), #2 RB Miles Sanders out (avg 5.8 ypc).  Dak is playing very well as is Javonte Williams and George Pickens.   Cows have a lot of offensive depth and talent and are/were the #1 offense in the League.  416 yards last week and close to another 40 burger.  They suck on D ! DC Matt Eberflus plays a very soft over the top zone.  Russell Wilson (NYGiants) shredded the Cow's D for 450 passing yards  (I think there were 7 plays of 30+ yards).  In the 2nd half of the Fudge Packers game Dallas D never got a stop thus there was a tie (40-40).  With only a D ranked around the middle of the NFL pack Dallas could probably be 4-1.   Their D sux badly.   They did get a few sacks (5) against Justin Fields last Sunday in NJ otherwise they gave up 380 yards against the Jets.   We are very familiar with Rico Dowdle.
