Diontae Johnson had “sigh of relief” when he was traded to Ravens

Genuine question bc I may be out of the loop, what did he say to throw him under the bus?
I heard him sound supportive (or at least neutral) of Bryce even when there wasn't much reason to be.

Game 2 Diontae and Thielen both were open and Young was not getting it to them.
I’d have to watch it again to remember who did what but I think Diontae wouldn’t talk to Bryce, Thielen was yelling on the sidelines.  Something like that. And there were post game comments about it. Thielen for sure was trying to deflect that it was personal with Bryce Young…

also the throwing of hands in the air in frustration after being wide open and no ball, that was happening.

The media video after the game, locker room and I can’t remember if there was a podium statement… but it will be addressed there.

take it further when Young was benched the next day those guys could barely contain their pleasure. It was obvious they were excited to get another guy in that job who might be able to do it.

Washington game, locker room comments, recap, it is to be found there. Something about can’t do people’s jobs for them….
that wasn’t about Bryce, my bad.  I posted what you may be looking for in the other thread

It was the "I can't play every position on the field" comment that was a slap to the face of his teammates IMO.  That was at the press after a game too.

I just read that we are paying his salary for the rest of the year? Anything else we gonna give away?

What's left? Sanders is a decent guess with Brooks maybe in the picture.

Hmmm. Thielen maybe. I have seen someone say Clowney too.

This franchise has no sense of direction on how they want to build!! Once we get a good player he’s traded for draft picks who don’t even equal combined to player lost!! I think the fake Dalton thumb injury is a chance to see if BY9 has learned anything or light a fire under his ass to see if he’s able to grow!! I like Canales as a coach.. I think he will improve.. he just as crappy roster

    • The #Panthers explored the possibility of adding Jaire Alexander, but there was never an offer made, a league source told @theobserver.   https://x.com/mike_e_kaye/status/1935436577649401872?s=46
    • Yes I agree, the future RT could easily be christ. When he shocking re-signed here for the cheap, he said part of the reason was the OL coaching staff.  I've already thought too much about 2026. The RT has all the options, including resigning Motown. I was never a big fan, but he's solid and peptides and stem cells can fix a gippy knee. If he makes it though this year and wants to return, why not for 2 years 16 million?? Or like you said give the job to Christ or draft your RT...... that I feel is the best current method. With both OGs in the 20 million per cap range and Icky......ooooooooooo boy he could be the first 30 million per OLmen in NFL history. That's a huge portion of cap space for the OL, which I agree with, but in order to offset those 20 and 30 million deals... you need cheap rookie contracts. (unless Motown would take a huge pay cut and whoever the C will be).  This is the deepest OL I can recall in Panthers history.  I believe Morgan should try and trade either Kingston or Zavala.  I didn't even talk about Yosh, Tarquin, or Walton. Yosh is same age as christ and why not him as RT after good swing tackle years? Tarquin is a UDFA on the prayer program, 150,000 in guarantees and why not him in 2026? Walton seems to be a OL coach favorite, he followed the Tampa Bay staff here after 2 years there and add in one year here, he's stuck around for some reason. I think they need to spend very light on RT and Panthers have lots of options, I love it.
    • That better not be the case. They need to be ready week 1. The easiest part if their schedule is the first few fames
