This is about as lopsided as it gets for us. Maybe even more than the Chiefs. Any hope for a game close enough for the refs and Chuba to screw us?

Panthers have to

1. Be mistake free. No stupid pre snap fouls or personal fouls, dropped passes, turnovers, missed field goals for 4 qtrs

2. They have to keep the eagles offense off the field with ball control on offense. That run defense is a sieve

3 defense has to be aggressive and control their gaps

4. When it is fourth down and 2 or less, they have to go for it

5  tds in red zone

6. Ignore that Philly crowd

so, in others words, do something they haven done before in a very long time

…that said, the panthers are scheduled between 2 division rivals and that might help

eagles 31 Panthers 21

…..and praying I’m wrong and that the Panthers play the games of their lives and shock the world with a win

The only way this game will be close or we possibly sneak one out is aggression. Violence. “No more shinings, Billy.”

O line has to absolutely have their way with their D line. 5 minute drives. 7 minute drives. Pounding the rock, let Bryce sling it and keep him protected.

If we go 3 and out more than 2 or 3 times… it’s a wrap. This game is all in the o line. We know what Barkley is and does. We know our defense. It is what it is. If we can pound it out on the ground, force at least 3 3 and outs and get a turnover, we can make hay. If we don’t go tit for tat when they score, it’s over. If we don’t go for every 4th and close on their side of the field, it’s over.

    • I know I’m grasping at straws but I believe this is our ‘get right week’.   Fug them dirty birds, panthers eat this weekend. Lesgo.
    • I’m guessing Canales will want to try and establish the run early. Atlanta knows that if they stop our run game, Bryce and these WRs aren’t going to win the game on their own so they’ll be keying on the run and likely have the personnel and scheme to be successful. The run game won’t work early. Atlanta will get out to a 10-0 or 10-3 lead.  Canales will then go back to the pass game with Bryce dropping back 3/4 of all plays. In that scenario we lose the turnover battle. -2 is my guess.  Past is prologue with this team.  Atlanta will get their run game going and can just as easily beat us through the air if not. Sorry, but Carolina is not competent enough to beat a good Falcons team.  We trail throughout the entire game.   Atlanta    10   7   7   3   27 Carolina   3   6   7   3   19
    • Yeah, I don't think it would. Might want to review the tape on the past two preseasons with him. The game I saw there was a massive gulf between him and Kyle Allen. Hence why he got cut.
