That's exactly right.ย  I was impressed with Oline.ย  Need to solidify the center, as NAS said.ย

Imagine taking Jackson Powers-Johnson instead of brick hands Leggette with the 1st pick

Best OL in football, just need the Center position solidified

At least when I listen to the radio broadcast, I get the impression snaps are not consistent. If there one thing that still irks me, it's not getting a center last draft when we had great options available.

Seems that everyone that's not Thielen are almost always in the 40~50s range. Not sure how that compares to other receiving corps but... yeah, it's probably not the best.

Here's the full list of Top 5/Bottom 5 for offense and defense.ย  DJ Johnson has quietly put together back-to-back solid performances (or solid PFF grades, at least).ย  Especially in a game where the rest of our starting D-line filled up the entire Bottom 5.

The problem is I'm not sure how we do that this offseason

I don't want any cap room spent on offense, every available dollar needs to go into upgrading the defense with vets who can step in from day 1 and contribute. ย Any offensive free agents should be super cheap, such as backup OL or something, not starter money.

Also, if we're lucky enough to draft T-Mac with our 1st, it also means we're likely going to need to use the rest of our draft picks on defense as well, at the very minimum, our 2nd rounder would need to be defense.

So really 3rd round pick is our best chance at finding a center this offseason, beyond that, not sure we have much of options unless we sacrifice defensive spending, but after spending so much in FA last year on the OL, not sure it makes enough sense to do it again.

    • I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.ย  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."ย  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper. Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.ย  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.ย  The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.ย  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.ย  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket. OL:ย  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?ย  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.ย  ย I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap. ย
    • Anyone else remember back in 2010 when Fox piloted having music under the in-game replays during one of Carolina's games? Not the commercial bumpers but the actual replay clips that the announcers would talk over. Pretty sure it was vs the 49ers. And it was terrible. Point being, Carolinaย continues being so bad that we get the networks trying things out during their games.
    • Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat Man this offense is a poo show
