Has this game changed feelings about Young?

The whole team was complete ass.  The coaching was ass.  And yes, Bryce was ass too.

My biggest beef today is still with Evero.  What a terrible game plan and even worse execution.  We have to go in a diff direction next year.  He gotta go.

Held the cowboys to 10 points in the first half with multiple turnovers from the qb. They don’t have the personnel to overcome that.

Here is the issue to me…his floor might be his ceiling

1. how much of the playbook is cut out to make up for what he can do at the NFL level … and hide what he can’t

2. what does it take in each series for him to execute those plays ?

3. meaning, it is all in film now…all of it, including his tendencies ..can those be changed or overcome ?

4. That arm strength is questionable…he couldn’t get the ball to the end zone today with an open receiver…not even close…and If you really go back and look at Philly, he got away with 2 balls that should have been intercepted….and other than the throw to XL at the end, the passes wobbled

5.  He isn’t strong

6. He is sometimes extreme in the pocket either lackadaisical not seeing pressure or frenetic…running in circles  …

I don’t know…I am glad for all when he does well but I truly do not believe he is a franchise qb and the Panthers can do better.  He can’t lift the team in his own   Everything has to be perfect.  There is no such thing in the nfl.

I feel the talent is so decimated that they have to stay with him another year..and then, replace him if more of the same

that said, the play calling today was dog poo…pressured  to death by Zimmer and Canales refused to put a TE back there

Oh we can march him out there all next year as well, so in that regard he's a starter in the NFL.

How good and capable of a starter? Well, that might be a different discussion.

I think that depends on whether he rebounds from this. Assuming the oline and defense doesn't continue to play like a juco squad. If that continues then Young is probably benched again.

    • Truth. Like when UNC hired Butch Davis and then we get hit for recruiting violations. Like yeah, no poo. Dude coached Miami when they we paying like the 33rd NFL team. What did you expect?
    • He's a hard player to rank, cause he is a young NT. I do see his abilities to branch out among the DL. That's the only way for him to land in the 1st, some team has to believe he's got the stuff to play DE or T3.... I just don't see using 19 on him, I feel there should be around 7 players just ranked higher than him for the Panthers team.  ___________________________________________________________________   Now you are a roster nut like me. Im tossing this into fire, I think a good move is to trade UP, yes rare. Just the roster #s tell me 5 rookies and no more than 2 starters will make the team. I feel 5 is magic number.    QB- 2  BY, Pickett RB- 3   Chubba, Brooks(pls), etienne TE- 4   Sanders, Temble, Evans, Draft pick/major/franks/UDFA OL- 10   Walker, Lewis, Fortner, Hunt, Motown, Zavailla, Samac, Stone, Draft pick, Draft pick/Charles/carter WR-  6   Tmac, XL, Coker, Metch, Horn, Tremay   offense=  25 with 3 draft picks   DL-  6   Brown, Brown, Wharton, Ray, Cam, Hunter/draft pick Ed-   5  Phillips, Nic, Prince, Jones, ST/incoom/hampton ILB-   5  Lloyd, Wallace, Bam, Claud, draft pick CB-    5 Horn, Jackson, Thor, Evans, draft pick/CSN/UDFA SS-  4  Scott, More, Ramsom, Sim   Defense = 25 with 2 picks   ST = known 3+o+d = 53 roster   SO I see only room for 5-6 with factoring in UDFA pool. That tells me to trade up! Bonus the 1st+3rd gets in front of TB yucs. Then use one of the 5ths+2nd to draft another target. That's your two starters and use the 4th, 5th and 6th for the development OTs and what ever the best player are at the pick/DB. The last couple years they have added 2-3 UDFA each year, maybe the same this year too. Soooooooo Im normally 95% trade back, but above made me change my mind. I do not want to waive 5th rounder, I feel thats high with players on the bench.    ?? There's waiver claims too, they have done that each year.
