It will be interesting to see who is still available at #4.  There could be a player someone drastically needs and will be willing to give up a nice haul to get him.  Getting an extra round one pick in 2026 would be nice.

In my dream, we somehow luck into a top 2 pick and someone wants a QB bad and doesn’t want anyone else to jump them. Somehow we’ll probably screw up the picks anyway, but it would be nice to do even partially what Chicago did to us.

We’d have to lose out, which is a decent possibility unless Tampa is resting. We need Atlanta to stay within a game because Atlanta beat Tampa twice.

The rest of the draft slots are who knows because Jax plays the Raiders and then Tennessee and you never know who will rest starters. I think we are top 7 unless we somehow pull out 2 more wins. The 4 win teams have higher SOS and there is only one 5 win team with the same SOS. If we win 1 of 3, we still should stay in top 7. If we lose out and the Jax games work for us, we can easily be top 3.

Even in your dream, they would end up drafting Cam Ward instead of doing that lmao

But in all honesty the combine is gonna be big for him. Can't go running a 4.6 we've seen enough Kneal Harry's and Treadwells flame out. But if he checks all the boxes I'm all for him being our pick

I've seen no tape to think he will run faster than 4.6

People say Evans or Higgins, I'll go similar but he gives me heavy Drake London feel (after the catch movement) with a little bit of Michael Pittman (the way he high points and aggressively outduels defenders).  Went to HS in SoCal...surprised he wasn't recruited by USC haha.

He's a solid solid prospect.  Would have no problem with him R1.  It's not a top heavy draft so he's in play.  Same goes for Burden honestly.

Put those guys vs. Johnson vs. Graham, it's a tough call IMO.

First round?  This guy really that level of player?  I know he's a workhorse for Penn State, but first round?

A lot of boards have soared him up to late teens and early 20’s. But yeah I can’t imagine reaching that high for TE when Sanders is on the roster.

There is a player from Bowling Green (Fannin?) who is right there--but the lack of difference-makers at TE (except maybe Brock Bowers last year) is lowering their stock a bit--Pitts at 4 to Atlanta, Noah Fant, Hayden Hurst, OJ Howard, Evan Ingram, Eric Ebron---to name a few--some solid players, but you can get solid TEs in round 3.

I will go out on a limb---no TE in round 1 this year.  I said it.  By April, nobody will remember.

I completely agree. If we don’t resign Tremble I’m fine taking one in round 3 or 4 to lock the position down for 2-3 years but I’d be irritated if either of our first 2 rounders were spent on TE. To me would feel like a luxury pick like last year in the 2nd.

    • Torn achilles.  The reason he was out more than half of last season.
    • When the panthers are bad, we sell a shockingly low number of jerseys, and options become limited. In the good years, we had a lot of different options. I think T-Mac is going to have to play well on the field for his jersey to get produced in the FUSE template.
    • it's not the only way to be a threat, it's certainly important for certain roles in an offense and for certain type players and offenses.  as is the ability to get open quickly and generate easy throws.   as far as Renfrow goes, I have consistently said he is sort of his own thing and not really in comp w/ others here.  It's a niche role/job.  Anyone talking about something else from him isn't me.  Just depends if we want to do what he does and if he can still do it.  as far as AT goes, yeah, he does lower our ceiling given the % of our offense that goes through him and his limitations at this stage in his career.    He should be a roleplayer, much like Renfrow should be if we want to insert what he does into the O....not an O being run through him.    Renfrow isn't going to lower the ceiling if used correctly.  Niche assignments to move chains.   It's like a short yardage RB that comes in to pick a random play.  Renfrow is best at that 3rd and 4 type scenario IMO. AT lowers the ceiling because we build the pass game off an old WR that shouldn't be the focal point of a pass attack.  Not to mention, Bryce Young is practically tailor made to get the ball in the hands of YAC players.   So you need those type on the field.
